Good location and staff
Staff was really good on a busy Black Friday. Got our room before appointed check-in time, which seemed like what most experienced. Location can hardly be beat, but the property itself is showing its age: the carpets are suffering, and when our son took a very (very, to generate as much steam as he could) hot shower, it set off the smoke alarm in our room, the standard screeching alarm hotels have. People: great. Location: great. Facility: sufficient, with caveats.

Our room came with a phone with no phone line, which didn't bother us as we wouldn't be using the phone. Fast track to sleeping in our room and at 6am the phone rings and we can't answer it. Then at 6:22 am an employee knocks on our door. When we answer he keeps saying he thought the room was vacant??? NO APOLOGY. When we went to the front desk we were told they would look into it. When we came back to the same clerk, she had not looked into anything and had to speak to her manager. AGAIN NO APOLOGY. We were then told the room next door had a billing issue that needed to be taken care of and when they didn't answer their phone, they knocked. Well they probably didn't answer because the hotel was calling the wrong room. There was never an apology for waking us up at 6:00am or knocking on our door at 6:22. So if you want to go to a place that doesn't care about their guests The Sheraton Time Square is the place for you. Not to mention their upcharge of 30.00. The bar charging a party of 4 the automatic party of 6, 15% gratuity fee. READ YOUR BILL, before adding a tip that may already be there.

This hotel was BUSY - the lobby was always full of people which is fine! It's NY! I had a great experience with the front desk but my friend did not (one gentleman was a little rude). If you're a cold person - bring an extra blanket or ask for one upon check in because their covers on the bed are like tissue paper and they do NOT keep a cold person warm (my two friends were perfectly comfortable).
