"Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly lady that booked me in and took me to my room. Thought I would pop the TV on but the remote had no batteries. I then noticed that the bed was not made up , no sheet, quilt or pillow cases. Spoke to the lady at the bar and she said she would sort it out straight away. One of her colleagues that was visiting for a drink offered to help and tried her hardest to rectify the issue, but then fount that there was no king sized bedding on site. The bed had...

"Lovely country pub, with easily accessible rooms with motel-style parking. Only negative with our room (7) was the rain shower with a silly design, no chance of a shower without getting your hair wet - not always ideal for ladies! But nice with a walk-in shower! The cooked breakfast was great."

"A warm welcome at reception. On a very hot day it was wonderful to step into my room and find a fan on. All staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spotless and had everything I needed. The large bed was very comfortable. I had dinner and breakfast, both were very tasty. The dinner menu had an excellent selection of food. Free parking close to my room was very welcome. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for your excellent service and hospitality."

"Very nice old Inn with very welcoming staff. Good room and queit as at the back of the courtyard overlooking fields. Really nice meal, very well cooked and presented generous proportion,accompanied by an excellent ale to wash it down. We'll definitely be staying again. Our only critisism was having the radio playing in the bar and eating area. It would be much less distracting and a more relaxed atmosphere if it was just music playing. Many thanks, Terry. "
