The property is really unlike any other place i have stayed - a beautiful set of three 100-150 year old buildings, which have been converted into luxury accomodation. You really feel like you are just staying in a traditional house in the village... except maybe the decor is more modern and contemporary. The rooms are very large (think of a one bedroom house) and our room had a beautiful garden and seating area for morning coffee. The bathroom is also a real treat - a lovely cedar bath to soak...
Gorgeous place in a beautiful setting, perfect for some light hiking to some amazing local shrines and nature. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful (even took my husband into town to grab some things for dinner one night). And the food Iwy cooks is amazing! Especially her little fish and cheese things and the fish in these amazing sauces, loads of traditional dishes made from local produce fresh and amazing. So yum! This property is special. Everything was impeccable. The street that its situated in is beyond expectations. Our room was stunning and huge for Japanese standards. The dinners were absolutely outstanding, thankyou to the chef firstly but also the staff who were so genuine and kind. Breakfast was interesting. Good hotel, very handy to Narita airport. We stayed to rest after a long flight from Australia and had a nice day exploring Narita and the local temple.
We went to Narita temple on a Sunday and got to watch a buddist ceremony, plus if you go to the information centre you can ask for an English guide for a personal tour. Fantastic experience and everyone at this hotel was lovely.
