Highly recommend
Our stay was Excellent! I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is the very friendly, helpful, funny & kind. The location is in the right spot; easy to walk to everything, safe, nice views from the fabulous rooftop. The room - we had the Toucan room! Clean, spacious & fancy. And check out Blue Apple Island! Spend the day there & add this highlight to your trip!

A slice of paradise
The place was beautiful and and very clean. The location itself is the biggest selling piint of this place. The services they have are phenomenal. All around a great experience!

Awesome!
The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated, spotless, great service, well located, the beds are awesome and breakfast is out of this world!! Charming rooftop, more geared towards adults, however, our kids had a good time and felt welcome chilling by the mini pools. Rooms on the 4th floor can hear the music on the rooftop, we are heavy sleepers so we didn’t really mind, but if you are an early and light sleeper, you might want to request a room on a lower level.

Amazing service and food However the hotel has a rooftop open to the public that plays loud music from 8 am to 1am . If ur here to party and drink this is the place for you. If you are here to relax and have a peaceful sleep this is not the hotel for you.

Perfect!
Loved it! The staff I interacted with were all extremely nice and helpful. Also, quite a few spoke English, which is good because my Spanish needs work. My room was very spacious - ample bed and additional sofa and coffee table. It was also nice and cool. Had all the amenities of a modern hotel. The rooftop pool / bar was also pretty good. The pools are a bit tiny, but good for dipping feet in. Got a few mixed drinks which were pretty good. The included morning breakfast was SO good, especially the omelet on top of arepa. Location is great too, with good bars and restaurants within walking distance. The staff was naturally also helpful in making recommendations for food and bars. It's a bit pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for. If I stay in the Old City again, I'll definitely strongly consider the Townhouse Boutique. One nitpick is they need a credit card number for incidentals on check-in. Generally it's bad security practice to write down your card number. They only charge you on check out anyway, so it would be nice to not have to do this.

Amazing place!
I was surprisingly pleased with the place. Everything was top notch! The outstanding friendly service and no exceptions (sorry for not remembering all the names of amazing staff). The room was very pleasant, extra clean and very comfortable. The beds were heavenly comfortable. The breakfast and cappuccino 👏👏👏 If you don’t mind the party noise in the roof top then this is the place to be. And the location is just in the middle of walled center!

Fantastic Family Stay
We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! Our daughters wished we could have stayed another night. It is a lovely, boutique hotel with a modern bathroom and lovely rooftop pool and bar in the heart of the old city. And the service was top-notch. Thank you, Townhouse!

Excellent, but SO LOUD (alllll the time)
Townhouse is so beautiful and colorful, and the staff was warm and helpful. Everything was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. It's in a great, safe, and convenient part of Cartagena. I find it hard to believe there would be more than a handful of hotels in the walled city that can beat Townhouse in those regards. BUT. Our biggest issues with the hotel may have had to do with staying over NYE weekend. The rates were, relatively, very expensive and Townhouse had a 5 night minimum-- expected, given the holiday, but Townhouse also decided to throw several events during our stay, closed off to guests unless you purchased tickets, which restricted access to several attractive amenities we chose Townhouse for. Having a rooftop bar on NYE weekend seemed worth the 2x rate, until we were told after booking it'd cost us another $270 if we wanted to go up there, so we skipped it. Even after the rooftop bar and lobby lounge/bar both shut down (at 3am) there was still music BLASTING throughout the entire hotel for another two hours. When I asked why such loud music at 4am, even after the bars shut down and guests were kicked out, I was told "the owner likes it." It's ridiculous the owner's private party blasting music at 4am outweighed the guests spending close to $2,000 to stay there for the weekend. If you don't mind an unreal level of noise in a room you're spending a lot of money to presumably sleep in, I honestly do recommend Townhouse for all the other reasons mentioned above.
