Poorly maintained, TV in the room didn't work, socket hanging off wall, tap for the bath/shower not fixed on properly and many stains and marks on the furniture. Shame because it's a lovely building and the breakfast was decent enough.

The hotel needs some care, as there was mould in the bathroom and no AC in our room. It is old and charming, but could use some renovating. The breakfast had few options to choose from. The staff was nice and helpful.

Easy to book. Easy parking. Room was lovely. Property is a little dark on the inside, due to the amount of dark wood used, but understand the reason as the history of the building. Great access to Cardiff bay. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely consider booking here again.

Really lovely hotel with nice decor. The bed was comfortable and it had the best blackout curtains ever, meaning we both had an amazing sleep. The huge spa bath was a real treat too. Constructive areas for improvement were that the shower gel and hand wash were both empty and had not been refilled, The lighting was very poor, meaning it was hard to do make-up and dry my hair for a night out. The tv was also broken and kept randomly turning itself off, which we reported as we left so hopefully it will be sorted. Thank you got a nice stay.

Friendly staff, the room was large but very dark, it had dark wallpaper & curtains & there were only a couple of spot lights as you entered then a lit recess area above the bed & one bedside lamp which wasn’t ideal. The bed was comfortable & the bathroom had a huge jacuzzi bath, with nice towels provided. We did go for breakfast, it’s self service, plenty to choose from, tho scrambled is the only egg option, good for the price.

Lovely place for a couple to stay. The rooms had real charm with the period furniture, although the ceiling picture was a bit strange. Huge jacuzzi bath. Lovely breakfast room. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again. Just a few minutes walk to the bay where there's lots of places to eat and and interesting walk.

Lovely stay here for our anniversary weekend. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a quadruple room, which also had a hot tub! From the moment we arrived, we had a great first impression. The room was absolutely stunning and full of history, which really added to the character of the stay. We also ate at the Aura restaurant for bottomless brunch, and once again the service was fantastic. My only slight complaint was the burger, which felt a little cheap and seemed to use poor-quality patties. My wife’s fish and chips, on the other hand, were stunning, and the staff did a brilliant job of making sure our drinks were always topped up. Overall, the stay was magnificent and we would definitely come back. A fantastic place for an anniversary weekend, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
