Disappointing Stay Despite Good Location and Friendly Staff
While the hotel is in a great location and the staff were friendly and tried to help, the overall experience was disappointing due to several major issues that cannot be overlooked.
Our first room had a horrendous smell, and we had to request a change. The second room was only marginally better. Shockingly, the receptionist admitted, "Yeah, I know, the rooms on that floor really stink," indicating that this is a known problem the hotel has chosen to ignore. Room cleanliness was also subpar—dust was visibly falling from the ventilation, a previous guest's razor cap was left on top of the soap dispenser, and the corners of the shower bed were filthy. The silicone work in the bathroom was so poorly done that it looked like a DIY gone wrong.
The breakfast selection was extremely limited, and the food quality was poor. The coffee machines only produced instant coffee, which was a disappointment. On our first morning, we noticed broken glass on the floor, and when we informed the staff, they simply kicked it under another table! To make matters worse, the plates were dirty, and when we pointed this out, the staff silently took them away without offering replacements or an apology. After that experience, we opted to eat at a local coffee shop for the rest of our stay, even though we had already paid for breakfast at the hotel.
