Great experience. We will be back!
Good - Clean hotel and nice neighbourhood (views of mountains and sea) - Room spacious and well equipped (e.g. TV in shower and a study table) - Hotel trainees and staffs polite and willing to serve. We felt pampered. - Yummy sweets prepared by trainees from the culinary faculty awaited us every evening in our room - Delicious and healthy breakfast (not much variety but we enjoyed every bit and felt healthier by the end of our 6-night stay) - Dining area overlooked the beautiful South China Sea. Made the breakfast ever a delight. - Tons of buses taking us to the nearest MTR station (Hong Kong University (HKU) station, about 10 mins ride). The Central station was just under 10 mins from the HKU station) Room for improvement - Bedsheets were not changed for 5 days despite us not placing cards on the bed to indicate not to change (unlike most other hotels, placing card meant no change of sheets for this hotel). Our sheets were immediately changed when we approach a trainer/teacher for her assistance - Trainees had to push in our chairs for us everytime we got back from the buffet table. We thought pushing in once when we arrived for breakfast would be good enough. Otherwise, it felt a little cumbersome. - Trainees were a little forgetful (one occasion was when we asked for scrambled eggs from one of the trainee waitress as the cook was away but the trainee forgot to convey our message). Overall experience Great! We can't wait to be back. Thanks team :)

A secret to be shared, luxury at affordable prices
All the descriptions written before are all true and useful so I will not repeat it all just add to it. The students are always attentive, their confidence is building as their language improves (the main barrier is language). The hotel is pure luxury, rooms, service, food, especially breakfast, and views are fantastic. It is located away from the bustle and hustle of Hong Kong/Kowloon but that was a bonus. Using local transport was easy once you understood which direction you are going. Do get an octopus card, even before you leave the airport. A10 bus is easily the best way to travel to and from the airport - just remember it runs every 30 mins so allow for this (we managed to get there in under 1 hour). Arriving at T Hotel was a challenge as it's not that obvious but there are signs showing where the 'Chinese Institute of Culinary Training' and in the middle of the road another sign... look out for pokfluam village stop and then it's on the other side of the road. Reception on ground floor and from there you are literally in the embrace of the students - ENJOY. The nearest MTR is Hong Kong university - HKU- then catch any bus south (a couple of stops), easy to get into the main areas ... This is a little gem and if you like pampering and don't mind lots of attention do enjoy it, all cities should try this!

Wonderful stay.
The T Hotel is a hospitality training hotel. We stayed for 4 nights with our children. The rooms are large and wee appointed and are cleaned daily. We also had breakfast daily at the hotel which was a buffet. The trainees are enthusiastic and whilst there are sometimes issues with a language barrier these are easily resolved. The hotel is easily accessible from the airport via the A10 bus to stop 26, Pok Fu Lam village. Cross the road turn right and then left up a non descript street and the hotel lobby appears. The hotel is on the 6th floor of the training institute. The views of the ocean from the breakfast area and rooms are incredible and very relaxing. The hotel also provides lunch and dinner on certain days and whilst we did not partake I have heard the food is wonderful. We enjoyed escaping the crowds and leaving the city once our shopping and sightseeing was done, as the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle. We walked from The Peak down to the Hotel one ofternnin and it was a pleasant 20-30 minute walk. If you are happy to hop on a bus to get into Kowloon and other shopping areas thusmight be the Hotel for you. We loved our stay and would stay again next time we visit Hong Kong.

what an amazing hotel this was
We stayed here for 5 nights. It's super easy to get to and it really isn't that far from the main attractions. The nearest MTR station is HKU, so take a bus from there to the hotel. 7,4 and a few others go there, the hotel actually give you a card with the details on it. If you want to catch a cab it's around 35 dollars one way. The hotel is very clean and has everything you would expect from a 5*. The views of the harbor are amazing. The breakfast has a lot of variety and options to suit everyone. You can eat your breakfast on the balcony to be even closer to the views, just ask and they will set the table up for you. The bed is very comfortable with a selection of pillows which again is great. The gym and fitness facilities are also good. Most importantly it's the people who make the hotel exceptional. We had an eye watering early morning flight which meant we had to leave the hotel for 4am. The hotel arranged the taxi the day before and even packed us a breakfast box as we would have missed breakfast. It's these little touches that make the T Hotel one of the best.

Student Staff Makes for an Interesting Experience
This is a great facility, albeit a bit off the beaten path; it's about a $100HK taxi ride from the Central. Our room was large and comfortable with a great view off the west coast of Hong Kong Island. We never did quite get a handle on the room lighting or t.v. controls but were very pleased with the comfort and facilities offered. What we got for what we paid was exceptional. What makes the T Hotel unique and interesting is that it's a training facility. The students are very attentive and try hard but their language skills and confidence in what they're doing are sometimes limited. Fairly often, they are visibly nervous about trying to be sure they're doing the right thing. So long as you understand this and have a sense of humor, things go well. We had only one complaint: when we went in to the Lounge at 6:30 and had a continental breakfast, we were charged $240HK for a full breakfast despite the fact that the full buffet was not available for another hour. It was explained later that the continental breakfast was only a room service option. This seemed a little bizarre and was not clear from the literature in the room. That was really pretty minor, though; overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay.
