This is our second time to stay in Mestre for its location and easy access to the Mestre Train Station. Mestre by itself has limited attractions, but it offers convenience in going to Venice and taking the train to other Italy destinations.

If flying out of Venice I would spend my last night there before going to the airport.you have time to wind down have a great meal and your 5minutes away from the airport in the morning.

The bus to Venice Mestre is very cheap and only half an hour ride. It's a busier place than expected. Lots of amenities and public transport connections.
