Gorgeous 1800's cottage that was perfectly cozy and warm on a miserable Winter's night!

Very quiet genuine rural setting. Friendly welcoming owner and staff. Rustic but comfortable cottage with all that one needs. Wonderful for children to be able to get up close to the animals and to feed them. Amazing old buildings showing history of early settlement and convict life.

Brickendon is a quaint 1800s cottage. Open fire, and breakfast provisions, electric heating, very nice under floor bathroom heating. We love this cottage tucked away off the main road. Very quiet and lovely in winter. We came back for our second visit. It still remains as we remembered it. The estate is great with a lot of farm animals. The history is interesting and the staff very nice and accommodating. We will be back! Love it.

The cabin was perfect for those who wish to experience Tasmania's history with the modern comforts. The cabin has been decorated in period furniture and fittings, with attention to detail. The gardens and surroundings are beautiful and the outlook contributes to the peaceful surrounds. The check-in was easy and the attendants where accommodating and helpful. Absolutely Amazing.

Obviously a very unique and rustic property with comfortable, clean beds and bed linen. Breakfast provisions were welcome and the nearby farm animals were of great interest. However, attention to housekeeping is needed. Curtains, floors, carpet and lounge furniture were grubby - the lounge furniture could do with a good steam clean. Bench tops and floors were dusty.

Brickendon is a very unique property. It's well equipped and cosy. The linens were all beautiful and everything was well stocked in regard to kitchen needs etc.
Our only observation was the room was rather dusty and cobwebs even in some kitchen cupboards. Maybe a deep clean occasionally would be great but otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

Step back in history. This place is absolutely gorgeous.
Just bear in mind that you cannot gain access to the adjoining property on a Tuesday. I was so looking forward to view the rose garden there and received a guest access ticket but was refused entry.
