6/10 Good

The location and view from the Restaurant and deck at sunset amaing. Generally the resort feels tired, its like it has never been touched since it was build. We had a modern unit in front of us blocking the view(s) that were advertised in the description. This is deceiving!!! Don't advertise water views in photos if there are none. Especially if one is looking into the toilet pipes of the unit in front!!! Price it accordingly show photos. Inside the Cabin unit the doors were chipped and bathroom door of cabin 15 painted (badly) with some undercoat - not expecting such poor tired look for such a price. This put us off recommending people to stay there. We chose the Fresh salmon as our main meal and it had to be sent back. Not properly cooked. (You have a seafood farm on your doorstep) (THIS IS A SHAME AND THE QUALITY OF THE CHEF and TEAM needs a revisit!!!!) A Day later we met people who stayed there two days before us... We kept quiet and they shared their experience. ......Similar views of the restaurant and tired rooms!!! If this is a once of ...why does random people experience the same view that the resort is over-priced and restaurant poorly run. The outside facilities when-walking to Honeymoon Bay..looks like a tornado has been through, broken fence and fallen trees...and just left to rot!!! We've been to many ECO resorts. The location of the resort does not mean the management and owners can rest on your laurels !!! Adress the issues!!!!

Super place to stay to enjoy the national park beaches! Enjoyed seeing the Townsville lighthouse even though road to it was windy & narrow. Staff were friendly & helpful. Beaches were an easy walk with lots is pretty shells & a nice sunset. The included breakfast was fabulous! They even had a nice, convenient, 2 unit washer dryer laundry not too far from our family cabin. Our cabin was well stocked and included a nice bottle of bubbly & 4 chocolates. Expensive over $500 AUD for 1 night stay but worth it.
