Felt more like a home than a hotel!
The hotel and rooms were beautifully decorated. The staff were polite and helpful. Standard king room does not come with fridge and microwave but the have communal ones in the lounge room. Also ice bucket and bag were not in room but can be obtained by asking the concierge or housekeeping staff.

An overall amazing stay -all thanks to employees Shane and Kiery. They provided warm welcomes and impeccable service. Although check in was a little delayed, they provided an upgrade for the inconvenience. Definitely a 10/10 stay!

Shane is the best!
I stayed for eight nights. I have a person to thank and a person to complain about. When I was checking in, Shane at the front desk was super nice, friendly and patient with me. He guided me through the hotel, told me where is comfortable to read and work, and after seeing my large suitcases, he gave me a free room upgrade. On the other hand, Kendrm a lady who works late night, was super mean to me. I tried to go to the gym at 10:30 pm because there are signs in the hotel and online that say the gym is open 24 hours, but when I went, the gym was close. She could have explained the situation to me with a little bit of patience and tried her best to help me. Instead, she gave me so much attitude, never smiled, and acted like she didn’t even want to talk to me. I was deeply offended by the way she treated me. I love how this hotel looks, and given the price, this hotel is such a steal. However I hope your staff members can be more consistent. Shane, thank you so much for your kindness. You made me feel welcomed.

Business travel
I like this hotel and it’s location but disappointed with the service under this new ownership. This is my second time in a month staying here. Check in is proficient but not welcoming. Being a gold member I’m never offered perks anymore the way I used to.

Great deal — very close to city!!!!
Not quite fully open— restaurant coming— but lovely stay & service. So tremendously convenient to the city. This is a great one to use frequently if you travel for work — maybe need a little space to work from hotel not in your room—

Lacks basic necessities
The hotel has a nice vibe however the room was small and lacking little essentials i.e nightstands and a mini fridge. Would be nice if you were informed at check in

Surprise fees...leaky toilets...bad for biz
Hotel was nice but my room had multiple issues including a leaky toilet. Then on top of having to move to a new room they double charged me a “hotel service fee” of $22 for each day I was there...kinda blowing away the quoted decent room rate. Likely around not be back unless they refund at least one of those ridiculous charges.

Website exceeds reality
Room finishes and construction seemed rushed and on par with budget hotel when you look past the trendy design. Resort fee laughable considering half of the amenity spaces were reserved for private use or let to have guests sleeping in them during the daytime. Admirable concept but poorly executed. Saving grace was polite and professional staff, so A for effort on that count.

Good 6.0
While the hotel is conveniently located and recently renovated the service is not of the desirable level. The room that we were given (as part of upgrade) was very large, high ceiling and a lot of huge windows and completely stone/cement floor without a single carpet. Given the severe winter weather in NYC the only heating option was a single wall-mounted heater. It was attached near to the ceiling and all released warm air was getting cold till it reached the middle of the room seeing more like an AC than heater. The bed had only one very thin blanket and one thin throw. We had to request electric heater and additional blanket which was the same very thin throw. The breakfast was poorly organized and included only drip coffee, singular fruit items and bagels. Overall room cleaning service was also not satisfactory - they have strange system of changing towels and replacing needed toiletries. The toilets are very weak and it was easily clogged requiring maintenance during out short stay there. The toilets in the basement had virtually no toilet papers and was in very poor and dirty condition - had to use those since the toilet in the lobby was undergoing main maintenance. Overall the responsiveness of the front desk was extremely poor - it took several calls to get any feedback and action. Would be nice if management could look into these and other similar problems and act on them. Considering harsh winter in NYC, the hotel should be better prepared with heating options.
