Really pleasantly surprised. My seven year old and I arrived early but our room was already available. Free parking, super central and spacious apartment with kitchen. Only minor gripe was no microwave but there is a full working stove, full size fridge etc. Quiet at night too.

Located within easy walking distance of the main centre, with cathedral, restaurants & shopping there. A few yards from a tram stop, located outside the interesting quake museum. We loved our stay here and found it super close to everything in the city central. The staff were all friendly and so were the other inhabitants. We did visit around the time of a nearby festival, so things got a little loud near the windows, but we both agreed it was worth it for the balcony (which we were on quite a bit). We were headed up to Auckland after our stay, but neither of us wanted to leave the little apartment or its area, so we highly highly recommend. The kitchen was fully stocked and with a convenience store nearby, we were easily able to pick up odds and ends. The bed was huge, but a little stiff, and the gym had a great variety of stuff but got a bit stuffy without a fan in the room.

Lovely apartment in a great walkable location, close to everything. Great, easy parking in an allocated spot. We were apparently upgraded to the 7th (top) floor, south facing. A little cold and had to use the heater in January! Noisy seagulls but can't do much about that! Constant lift noise as we were next to the lift. Great washer/dryer and shower. Overall a very nice stay.
