Likes: Ambience and deco were brilliant. Rooms very well maintained. Quaint and cosy. Front desk staff friendly and accommodating & helpful. Dislikes: Breakfast should contain more variety. Staff during breakfast could have been friendlier. There wasn't room service facilities.

Never trust the pictures...
Not what I expected. Bugs on the floor roaming around. Wooden floor that has spacing. By the way that’s where bugs would come out. Very loud outside. Early morning and late night. Constant noises. I made a bad choice selecting.

What this hotel lacks in modcons it makes up in charm and authenticity. The original building and paraphernalia inside it are charming and unique. Rooms are dated, but large and comfortable. It’s in a fantastic location, just a few hundred meters from the market, city center and restaurants.

Damp, dreary, and LOUD.
At first we thought the hotel was really kind of creepy/cool. The architecture and design give it an awesome vintage feel and the location is decent - an easy walk to anything you want. Unfortunately, the room was so damp and dusty that it made us sick. There is no temperature control in the room - ok for us September, we just asked for an extra blanket and slept warmly dressed but I can't imagine trying to stay in winter proper. When I say that the hotel is loud, I mean that we could hear the tv sets of people living nearby and the music from the main area as well as every single conversation in the room next to us - which involved a toddler and started at 5am most days. We also had a drunk man accidentally walk into our room despite a locked door (he broke the lock the first time he tried to walk in, without much force). Breakfast is %100 Asian food. No eggs, nada. Fine with me, but some may want to be aware of this before booking. At the end of our 4 days we were very happy to leave.

Not Happy with The Hotel at all.
Hotel is dirty, lot of pubic hair on blanket when we moved in. There is no heat or AC in the room. Room depends on outside temperature. It was quite cold inside when temperature dropped down to ten-ish in winter. For westerner guest, that temp may be ok, not for local people. Hotel builder tried to be cool when they built it. Unfortunately, it is not convenient to use. For example in the bathroom, when you are the tub/shower, there is no way you can get shampoo or bath gel from shelves design for them. Faucet and shower head made of copper which conducts heat very quickly, we got burn many times taking shower or wash our face in a sink. This is a no no if you have children hotel. Guarantee they will get burn. In the morning when we went to basement for breakfast, in the 7th lower floor basement. Imagine, no heat, very chilly. I spot a long hair strain in coin dish and told the waitress. She used chopsticks and took the hair out. That's it. We did not want to touch that dish. Later on I notice waitress went behind a glass door and picked her nose. I wanted to throw up.

Nice , Vintage Hotel
The city itself is pretty small, so the hotel is pretty close to anything. It has a great feel to it, and has lots of antiques throughout the hotel. The breakfast was pretty decent, and the morning noodle soup was quite tasty.

Good!
Great location at the quiet area of dalat, and only takes about less than 5 mins walk to the night market. The hotel has its charm of having an old castle feeling on the hilltop, but the rooms are quite dark and cold. We stayed there for 3 nights, and I don't know if it was just us or the fabrics of the bed sheet and blanket, we had a static electricity problem. We can see MANY big sparks, even with a small movement like turning around or flipping the blanket, which really bothers us! Perhaps it would be better if they would change it.

Sufficient Accommodation
Location was really handy to the center of Dalat and in a quiet area. The hotel itself was charming with it s old castle feel up on the hill.I'm unsure how the vintage cars fit in, but if your into that type of thing, it would be great. The staff let the place down, particularly the reception area as they spoke little to no English and were not very helpful.
