Good, clean hotel in an older neighborhood
I really don't have anything bad to say about the hotel itself. It was clean, the bed was comfortable but I would not stay here again, for my overall experience, there are better hotels. We were in town for a friend's birthday and she booked this hotel well in advance and we thought it best to all stay at the same place. I didn't have much interaction with the hotel staff but they were nice enough at check-in, no complaints, no waiting, no lines. The Al Khoory Executive is a dry hotel, so there is no bar. This will be important to some people, others could care less. If you're coming to Dubai to party for the weekend, this is probably not the hotel for you. The breakfast buffet was sub-par. My room service order wasn't that tasty either. You have to use your room key to access the elevator, which is not necessarily a bad thing, unless the rest of your party is on another floor. Luckily this hotel is only 3 floors but who wants to walk up and down stairs. It is in a neighborhood so there is a mosque directly across the street and you are reminded of this every morning at 4:30am. I may be off an hour or two but you get the point. It also is not in the rail line, so taxis everywhere. The price is really right and like I said before the hotel is clean and comfortable, so if you need a room for the night or you want to be away for the busyness of Dubai, this is your place.

Very good 8.0
Clean. Check in was slow, internet didn't work for first one hour and had to go to lobby 3 times to get it sorted as no one was answering calls (and that's when you are really tired from your flight and you want to just make your initial calls/texts to family & just crash. By the time family gets worried why you are not calling not expecting delays in connecting to wifi). Overall ok. Breakfast was good. Rooms were not lit up enough - no ceiling lights in the room so hard to find things and pack. Parking was easy. Area has a lot of late night groceries and restaurants. Grocery store is just next door and they deliver. Only thing missing is no microwave in the room or in a common area (as is common in North America). Had to always request someone to warm the food which was inconvenient - should not have to ask anyone and should be able to self-serve discreetly whenever needed. It would be nice if they add a self-service laundromat but that's not common in Dubai but guests who come from North America would certainly appreciate as we are used to Microwaves, Washers & Dryers in common areas. We like more of self-service for our privacy.

Not sure if I would go back to this hotel
When we first arrived to the hotel we notice it's in the run down area of Dubai, which I have no problem of but people forget to mention that in the reviews. The security came to open the taxi door and take our luggages, which was nice. When we checked in I was very disappointed because the hotel states they're a V.I.P hotel but when I asked they said no they don't offer anything to V.I.P members which I found very strange because I never had that problem before. For this hotel you have to pay a tourism fee which is 10 AED a day. The rooms are small but they are clean and they smell good. This hotel needs to work on the towels, towels are ripped up and 1 of the towels had a bug on it but it was no big deal I just asked for a new towel. The whole hotel is non smoking which was a relief because every other hotel is a smoking hotel and reefs of cigarettes. I must add that I wish this hotel was on the roadside or a different location because it's in the backstreets and at night it's pretty creepy but it is close to food and shopping. Pros: Clean, Smells Good, Modern Cons: don't offer anything to v.i.p members, the location, small t.vs, crappy towels

Not in ideal location but value for money
SUPER Grateful for the staff for finding my passport and wallet which I forgot in the safe. I collected them both when they called me a few hours after check out. === I stayed in other Al Khoory properties in Dubai, so knew my experience will be better than just reading the reviews. Functioning bathroom, with excellent shower area. Towels are tired and need replacing. First two nights there was no shower gel just a bar soap. I thought they were being cheap but it turned out housekeeping forgot to stock them for my first two nights. Room is practical. Nothing to talk about, but in a value for money hotel you just want to know there is nothing "wrong". Well there is a bit of carpet that sticks out under the bed from both sides for your feet when you get up. These are worn, and look aged/dirty. Really makes the hotel look uncomfortable. However they don't detract from the room comfort nor do they feel or smell suspicious. They just look ugly. Location is not in the center or immediate proximity of the metro or any mall. But if you use Careem to order a taxi or private car it literally doesn't matter.

Exceptional 10.0
Nice hotel near to shops and restaurants.
The hotel was lovely, everything was spotless and the majority of the staff were very nice and helpful. They helped us find good trips that were value for money and made sure a taxi was at hand when we had to go out. We were a little bit away from the metro but taxis were so cheap that it was not a problem getting there. We were able to find our way around the metro quite easily and managed to visit a lot of the sights. You just had to remind yourself of the dress code i.e. cover your shoulders in certain places but all in all, it was not too strict. Just remember unlike we did that it is basically a non drinking country and we did not think about not being able to go into a pub as there were not any as such and you certainly cant buy any alcohol in supermarkets etc. so go prepared!! Also, our hotel was non-drinking as well which we did not notice on booking so if you like an apperitife before dining this is not the hotel for you.
