You couldn’t ask for anything more Central literally seconds away from Central Station- nice hotel very clean and well priced. Was a little concerned regarding street noise but honestly didn’t hear a squeak! Breakfast was really good fantastic choice of coffee cereals fruit and cooked options and very pleasant young lady looking after the area.

We were told when we first arrived that the only lift to the rooms would be repaired by the next day. Our room was on the 6th floor. When we left 3 days and many trips up and the stairs, the lift was still inoperable. We are both in our 70s - thankfully fit- nonetheless multiple trips up and down the stairs was not appreciated. We would probably find another hotel in the future in spite of of its excellent location and breakfast.

This is a historic hotel with a location that is convenient and walkable to many main attractions in Cardiff. We appreciated our extra large room, comfortable bed, and windows that totally blocked any noise from the street. The lift was not working, but is being repaired. The room, however, had only one chair and did not provide bottles of water. Housekeeping in regard to floor cleanliness would benefit from being turned up a couple notches. The condition of the floor detracted from the otherwise pleasant room. On the plus side, the breakfast was generous, elegant, and excellent; it is served in a large grade 2 listed historic meeting room.

The hotel is in a great location really close to the station but also central for shops and loads of restaurants on its doorstep. The castle is also only a few minutes' walk. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was extensive and the breakfast room is a lovely wood panelled room full of character. The beds were very comforatble and the room lovely and quiet.

Breakfast was amazing!! Totally worth it. The beautiful room in which it is located is a must see. I would recommend staying at this hotel for this reason alone. Room has a lovely soaker tub. So necessary to soak away the pains of travel.
