Lovely hotel ruined by food options.
Hotel grounds are beautiful, our room was lovely, Golf Course amazing and the bar & restaurant staff were fantastic. Major issues with the food though!. My wife is vegetarian so we emailed before hand to book some ala carte restaurants, reply said no issues with booking and we had to do it upon arrival. You have to phone 3333 to make reservations and can only do this between 0800 and 1600. Day of check in on phone for over 30mins without answer, then the 1600 deadline was passed. We could not do it Day 2 due to a fishing trip 0640 to 1700, so we had buffet each night. Buffet has theme nights, one of which was BBQ with no veggie option, so she had to have salad (again). Breakfast only starts at 0630, so if you have first tee off time you cannot get breakfast before hand, if you have a tour or fishing trip with a 0640 pick up, you can only get a (very quick) takeaway breakfast (5 min walk to reception). Hotel would not pack up a breakfast for us on last day when we had 0630 pick up for fishing and restaurant would not allow me in early to grab some bits, even though food was already laid out, so no breakfast. Stayed 3 nights, $400 a night for my wife to eat salad for dinner, we only got 1 full breakfast, 1 partial as a takeaway and nothing on last day. Complained at front desk, just got a sorry. Upon returning home complained to Marriott and they reverted it back to the hotel. Btw, you can play the golf course without staying at Westin or W, which is what we will do next year.

The Westin Conchal Cost Rica is Amazing!
My family and I stayed at the Westin Conchal Costa Rica for 6 days. Our stay at the Westin Conchal was beyond belief. The activities for the kids, the room, the pool, the grounds, the local wild life, the drivers, the locals (that work outside of the hotel and are not part of the Westin) were all astounding. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful in particular Stefani Gomez. Stefani went to various lengths to make our stay even better, she's brilliant and super helpful. From day one she ask if we had a special diet (which was very surprising) our diet is very important but we don't make a big deal out of it, we understand that it's something that not all hotels or restaurants work with. We always try to adapt what's offered to our diet. It was an absolute bonus to have that extra help from her and obviously the support of the management team and the hotel. We are extremely grateful for all the effort. We hope to visit you soon!

Great Hotel/Food
Great hotel, we stayed in a bungalow close to the beach, pool and restaurants. The room was nice, being an all-inclusive my only 2 negatives were the inability for anyone to answer the phone to make restaurant reservations and the room did have spider webs. The staff were all very friendly and the restaurants/food/wine was fantastic!

Westin Reserva Conchal
We spent three weeks in Costa Rica and our last part of the vacation was 5 days at Westin reserva Conchal. The service provided by the Westin Family Concierges was above and beyond. Special mention to Kevin Valverde and Joselline Rojas which cater to all our needs at the family area of the pool. Mr Roger Lopez who surprised us on one of our dinner reservations with a special meal. Have to say that meeting Andrea Jimenez (front desk Assistant Manager)on our check out, and get to know the other faces of her staff was great. Gave us the opportunity to thank them for such a wonderful experience. It goes without saying that when we return will be contacting her office ahead. They turned a good experience into a great one. Many thanks to them!!!!

4/10 Fair

The property was at best average for an all inclusive. 1) hard to get into restaurants. Reservations were made in advance by the staff without our input and they were hard to change bc restaurants were ‘full.’ You had to push the staff to make a reservation where you wanted to go, they would always say it was ‘full’ until you pushed 2) even the reservations they said they made weren’t always accurate. We went to one restaurant bc staff booked it and we weren’t on the ‘list.’ 3) the tv in our room was broken. The staff came and fixed it but it broke again so my husband literally had to change out the tv from the living room to the bedroom 4) it was hard to get transportation. If you wanted a ride to another area of the resort it was sometimes difficult to get a ride. Drivers would not help you if they had others in their cart even if there were still seats available 5) service was pretty bad. At times they would not fill your water glass or coffee even if it was empty. 6) the air conditioner in one of the restaurants was broken when we attempted to eat lunch 7) beach is public and you had to walk through a bunch of street vendors to get to the beach. I would not recommend this hotel. I don’t expect 5 star when I stay at an all inclusive but this seemed pretty bad for a Westin

8/10 Very good

This property is beautiful. The staff are so professional and friendly. Pool is beautiful as well as the accommodations. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is that it lacked entertainment at night and most areas closed early 10 pm and sometimes 11 pm. If you do not want to stay up late or go to a bar it’s the perfect location. If you are young and want some nightlife probably not for you. Not sure if this is due to Covid. Just expect to be asked if you want a massage every time you go to the beach. The locals are waiting for the tourists to provide that service. The massage tables were very busy so it’s a popular service. We booked our excursion with Maurizo which is near the beach where the locals are. It was great excursion and he personalized the day for us. Just walk to the beach and look out for Maurizo he’s wearing a badge

One of the best hotels and by far the most beautiful grounds in Costa Rica. The wild life in the hotel is fantastic for kids and family to enjoy and embrace the eco friendly environment.

Kids are grown, and now its our time to play. We spent the week of Easter at the Westin, in a jr deluxe suite. We did not stay in the adults only section of the hotel and we're happy we didn't. Our building was an easy walk to the beach, pools, and front desk and once we were at our room you couldn't hear a thing outside. We really enjoyed finding the monkeys in the trees, the quaty's, and all of the lizards. We requested reservations for the first 2 nights before we arrived and then spent a few minutes on the phone after we arrived to set up the rest of the week. It took a little patience, but we never had an issue getting in. This isn't a foodie resort, but its average... what they do get huge credit for is how they handled my gluten free needs. I was asked multiple times at each restaurant, everyone had great options, and the manager of the buffet personally show me what I could eat and what they could go make in clean area just me. For those of us with a gluten allergy, you understand how important it is. The beach was busy, yes, there's a gauntlet to get thru, but everyone accepted a no thank you and moved on. Chairs and umbrellas were gone early, but you usually could find someone leaving as you arrived. In the evening, the drinks at the Imperial Bar were always great and the entertainment that starts at 9 was a fun way to spend the evening. Overall, we enjoyed this resort - it was busy, but well managed, clean and never had a party feel.
