I’d have rated this hotel only 2 stars, if not for the staff. There is no air conditioning, just a floor fan. It has 3 speeds—low, a little higher, and almost medium. My room got afternoon sun, so it gets warm in the afternoon even though it’s not that warm outside. That would be a bonus in the winter, as I did not see any means of heating the room, but not so good otherwise. I got a better breakfast for less money across the street at Le Rempart. I also went to Breakfast in America several times, which is a short walk away. I highly recommend it. I’m fine leaving the key at the front desk. I would expect for the front desk person to verify who I was, though, if they didn’t know me. This only happened once. I am an average-sized woman, and the shower was uncomfortably small. To get into it, you have to sidestep around the toilet. The bed was barely adequate for me. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful. With a little notice you have a better chance of getting help getting your bag down the stairs. It’s a small staff, so don’t expect them to drop everything to help you immediately. I asked for help before going to breakfast, and when I returned my bag was downstairs. The location is great. You can get anywhere from here and there are many restaurants close by.

Fair 4.0
Their website description was exaggerated. The rooms were very small and cramped. The carpet in the room was torn and dirty in areas. The bathroom so small that it was difficult to use the toilet and the shower drained so slow that you had to run the shower at a trickle or stop and start the water flow. Their idea of a room with a courtyard view was not accurate. Their courtyard was the hallway down on the main level which everyone coming and going all night used and since the noise traveled so well in this "tunnel", it was difficult to have your window open for any cooling air at all so it was very warm in the room. No air and no fan. Our room, at this hotel, was by far the worse we had encountered during our entire 26 day vacation. This hotel has no elevator and a very narrow circular staircase and our room was on the 5th floor. We had to drag all of our luggage up and down these stairs in heated hotel which was difficult for the two of us. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Poor 2.0
The hotel doesn't have stairs... if you are on a low floor it okey. But if you are high up it's terrible. Cleaning was included, but our room only got cleaned the first day One staff spoke English all the time but when vi asked him to cancel a taxi booking he made for us the day before the pretendet that he didn't speak English for the rest of the trip. After that moment all his answers were in French, which we didn't speak. Before we flew to France vi called the hotel to arrange transfer from the airport to the hotel, which the staff said that they only have transport from the hotel to the airport for a cost of 11 euro per person. So at the end of our trip we wanted to book the transfer to the airport and then got the answer that they only call for regular taxis which costs 50-60 euro.

Be aware ! Before booking !This is a 2 star hotel
We were told by that this was a recommended hotel. We booked a 2nd floor room but while waiting in the lobby to check in , we were changed to the 6th floor guest in our room decided to stay an extra day. With no elevator and very steep stairs it was very difficult to climb unless you are a teenage mountain climber. The rooms are tiny, not well equipped and the service was unacceptable. Would not have accepted this hotel had the agent told me that it was only a 2 star hotel. I think giving this hotel 2 stars is extremely generous! That being said.. the location was good ! near the bus tour blue line. In short ..great location...terrible hotel and we would certainly not recommend it .

The location is wonderful in our favorite part of Paris La Marais. We were a bit schickes as we checked in and realized there was no elevator and we were on 6th floor with winding staircase. Also thought all the rooms had air conditioning and came to learn only some and the room we booked was without. Summer in Paris, it’s nice to have. Our room was simple and clean newly renovated bathroom with great view. However, another room I saw was dark with a rather old/funky in attractive bathroom. Overall it was ok and we had a nivve time there, felt like we were in our 20’s again. Good vibe at the hotel.
