Antebellum mansions stand frozen in time along streets where Spanish moss dangles from ancient oaks like nature's own decorations. Horse-drawn carriages clip-clop through the historic district, offering tales of pirates and Civil War drama. Kayak through winding tidal creeks where dolphins surface with surprising nonchalance. The Penn Centre on St. Helena Island provides a moving window into Gullah culture and Reconstruction history. Military buffs can't miss Parris Island, where Marines have trained for generations. After exploring Bay Street's shops, watch the sunset paint the water gold from Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. Local restaurants serve shrimp caught that morning, often by the chef's cousin. SpringHill Suites by Marriott Beaufort
"Everything here was wonderful, clean and comfortable"
Beaufort Inn
"Lovely historical Inn that has many beautiful courtyards and flowers. We were in one of the outer buildings on the 2nd story that had a lot of stairs, so be careful if this is an issue for you (the main building does have an elevator). But, despite the heat and humidity, we enjoyed our little balcony overlooking a courtyard and two water features. They offer a decent breakfast, but we thought it was a great location close to several fun places for breakfast, and downtown shopping. The buildings are older, so keep that in mind, but we found it much more charming than a modern motel."
Tru by Hilton Beaufort, SC
"Very clean and very helpful staff. We will be back."
Hilton Garden Inn Beaufort
"It's at a great location, there's a restaurant/bar in the lobby which is convenient. The bed is comfortable. The products in the bathroom smell amazing."
Hampton Inn Beaufort
"We loved the location to everything and then you could sit and relax looking over the Marsh. They also put mini ducks out so my daughter was entertained hunting them."
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Beaufort at Highway 21 by IHG
"Clean lobby, hallway and room. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Shower knob, bathroom light switch needs update. Great breakfast. Will stay again."
Oasis Inn
"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The TV was good quality with a very nice picture and many premium channels. The sink and shower were clean and everything worked well. The area outside was not so clean or picked up. Lots of cigarette butts and unknown liquid on the sidewalk in front of the room. No breakfast available, that I could find."
Home2 Suites BY Hilton Beaufort, SC
"Room service was great."
Howard Johnson by Wyndham Beaufort/Parris Island

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Beaufort
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Beaufort is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices may drop. For those looking to explore the city's rich history and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to appreciate key landmarks such as historic churches, the impressive cathedral, the university, and the scenic marina. Additionally, the vibrant theatre scene and live music venues offer great value for money, making it a budget-friendly choice for travellers seeking cultural experiences.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Beaufort, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Enabling email alerts or push notifications can help you stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don't miss opportunities for cheap hotel deals. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see available rooms or price drops, making it easier to book a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay in a Beaufort hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is relatively high, we can suggest alternative dates that might be more affordable, enhancing the likelihood that you could save.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Beaufort's superb public transport connections, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those eager to explore alternative, less populated neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
