Bijou elegance, delightful staff
A bijou, elegantly furnished and decorated hotel in an ideal location for sightseeing. Our room on the fifth floor was small but very well equipped with all amenities, perfectly fine for two tidy people, you might struggle if you have several bags and/or like to leave things lying around the room. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful, nothing was too much trouble and this really makes a difference when you're in a city you don't know equipped only with Year 9 French. The breakfast was very good, we didn't sample the room service menu; on the catering side a nice touch is afternoon tea provided for guests every day in a cosy salon just off reception, just the thing when you stagger in after a day of heavy sightseeing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely return. An oasis of elegance, friendliness and charm.

Terribly disappointed
Booked this hotel after weeks of researching online. Got the smallest and most cramped room possible. Looked nothing like the pictures online — no nice chair, no separate bar area, no decent sized bathroom. Instead got a tiny cramped Room 10 on the 1st floor with a sloping floor and leaking shower. Two of us could barely move inside this room...built-ins all around bed made sleeping awful as well. Was the worst part of an otherwise amazing trip. We were at another boutique hotel in the Marias which was wonderful, then left for London for a few days and came back to this hotel which cost more and expected a nicer room to end our trip. It was my daughters birthday and first trip to Paris and we couldn’t have been more disappointed in this hotel. If you stay here demand to see the room first and if not satisfied ask for one of the “normal rooms”. Wish we hadn’t deviated from our original hotel. :(

Good 6.0
Can't rate it as highly as I'd like
Our room was fine--a bit small, but fine for a short trip where we were out most of the time. Room service menu was extremely limited and the bed was very hard, but overall a good price for a fantastic location. My main issue was as a transgender woman staying there; I was wearing a dress and full makeup, earrings, etc, and signed in with a feminine name, but I still don't pass well, and the staff seemed intent on making sure I knew that. They were not overtly hostile but made a definite point of referring me as monsieur as much as possible. We had to return and pick up the key each time we left, which is standard for many European hotels, but this meant interacting with the front desk several times every day; even if I sent my wife to do this and stood on the far side of the lobby to avoid them, they would call out across the room to say goodbye to "monsieur."

Very good 8.0
Beautiful hotel, perfectly located
The hotel is beautiful and its location is ideal. It is walking distance from the opera (2 min), Louvre Museum (5 min) and the Concorde Plaza (10min). It is located in a very nice neighbourhood and centric. I highly recommend it. The only negative point (I don't give it that much importance) is the size of the rooms, but as in all Paris, it is something normal from my own experience. The personal of the hotel is amazing, everybody treats you perfectly and always are trying to help you, the bed is spectacular, it was a whole deal getting out of it in the mornings jajaja. The hotel decoration is amazing, all with great taste, you feel the Parisian vibes. All the time we spent in Paris was incredible and great part of it was because of the hotel and its great location.

Perhaps we were unlucky with the room we got, but it certainly didn't feel like the chic, stylish hotel we were hoping for. Decor was dated and the shower was not what we would expect from a 4 star hotel. Plus we could hear all of the plumbing from the room next door, including strange squealing sounds and pipework clattering, as well as the occupants urinating at 3 in the morning. We asked to move rooms but unfortunately they were fully booked that night. Not When checking out in the morning, the receptionist said she would sort it out with a better deal and room the next time we stayed, but why would we risk another visit? Surely a partial or full refund would have been more appropriate.
