Great Mid_Range Hotel
HRM is a lovely, well-kept property that has clean, mid-range rooms in a fantastic location in San Miguel de Allende. it's not hyper-luxurious like the Rosewood, but it's a great family hotel with a lovely swimming pool. They are renovating at the moment, so the fitness center was closed. Their restaurant is okay (there are better options in town) but their staff is polite and highly professional. We really enjoyed our stay!

The bathroom was extremely dirty, you can see, that they didn’t clean the toilet, for years The carpet was with a lot of stains, the two beds had different duvet cover, and they looked very odd, as the same as the towels They had a party in the garden of the hotel, and, you couldn’t sleep until, one in the morning It was not a pleasant stay at all

Great Family Hotel!
We stayed at Real de Minas to attend a wedding nearby. We wanted a hotel for multiple family members of all ages. This hotel was perfect! With five kids under age 12, we needed a place where the kids could get their energy out. This place not only has an unheated pool (on the chilly side for October), but various open garden areas right off the lobby where the kids could play soccer and run around. There was also a playground and more open space behind the hotel. The lobby is also quite large with various places to sit, talk, or work on a laptop (with outlets). The hotel buffet breakfast was outstanding and very convenient for several families staying together, all on slightly different schedules. The sprawling grounds of this hotel has something for everyone and was the ideal place for several families to gather and spend time together. It is located near the Benito Juarez park, another great spot for kids with a playground and basketball court. It is a hearty walk to the center of town, so we sometimes walked and sometimes took taxis. WiFi seemed to work well throughout the expansive hotel, and especially in/near the lobby, which again had plenty of work stations with outlets. The WiFi signal on my phone was strong in our room. I tended to work on my laptop from the lobby so I can't be sure if the WiFi signal was as strong in the room for streaming, etc. I also really liked this hotel's vibe, plenty of charm and character, but also very clean. Bottled water provided daily.

Where do I begin! We booked a week in this hotel and left mid-week to move to a new place. Very loud american music playing by the pool bar our entire first day there. We had no lock on our sliding door and we waited over an hour to have someone come and address it before we could leave our room. All of our chairs for sitting outside were broken/cracked. The room was not restocked daily so we had to go ask every day for bottled water and coffee for the machine in our room. We needed an iron and ironing board for some events and went to ask for one at the front desk - their response was curt and dismissive, "there is one in your room, it's in the closet" which I then had to repeat that there was not. When we checked out early (w/no refund), I left my pj's in the room. I went back the very next morning and they said they did not find any pj's in the room. I checked two more days after that (as they said they would inquire about them). No pj's! The other big issue for me was that I chose this hotel because it had a workout room. However, the workout room is near the reception/restaurant area and is a full glass fishbowl where everyone can look in at you. Most women do not want to be on display exercising! The one plus of this hotel was the sheets but that is all I've got!
