Stayed over one night whilst attending a conference near the University Hospital of Wales. The location was perfect for this venue. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of the breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. The hotel was very clean but was let down by the dated carpets in the corridors and some public spaces. The staff were lovely and attentive. Our room was spacious and in good condition, with almost everything we needed. There is a bus stop into the city centre nearby which was helpful for us. We enjoyed breakfast too. The coffee pod machine in our room was leaking, and we were onky provided with decaf pods which was a shame. There was also only one robe provider despite it being a booking for two people.

Moldy areas of window frame and the place smells musty as soon as you walk in. My son was having coughing fits. Staff was mediocre (I get that English people aren't as warm and fuzzy as other people, but...I didn't feel like anyone was happy we were spending money there). The room was cold and unheated upon arrival and it took a long time for the heater, (which had no instructions) to take the chill off. Outside temp was about 5 degrees. There was also only one pillow per person provided. We requested an additional heater and pillows for the second night. Other guests had the same issues. Nonetheless, staff were very helpful and courteous, breakfast options were good and beds were comfy.
