staff are friendly. Nice experience close from downtown. enough parking space.

Vintage style motel

It is an old style motel on spreading park like setting, right on busy Kingsway. It is clean, comfortable and partiality renowned. Easy access to downtown, bus, all sorts of restaurants around. Excellent sushi restaurant right across the street. The outside area has picnic tables. The rooms are cooled with a fan, there is no AC, but even it was a hot July day, the sleeping temperature was fine. I would definitely come back if I needed relatively central, affordable accommodation.

No AC

The hotel has a great location in the city. However, when I arrived, the room was sticky and humid, despite the description mentioning that the air conditioner was available. This made it difficult for me to sleep.
Albert, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Quiet and comfortable with deficiencies.

The room I stayed in had very lukewarm to cool hot water service, and was unusable for showering. I showered at work due to this issue.
Jason, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I have no complaints about my stay.

Really nice for a 1 star motel, I would stay there again. There was no hair dryer though.

Our family had a great time being together in a comfortable place to stay, the family suite felt like a home, it was quiet and the staff were very accommodating. We all agreed to come back next year. And did i mention affordable.

The staff were extremely helpful when my documentation didn't check out, they worked with me for a pre authorization to ensure I could still check in
Steven, 3-night trip

An ok spot to stay.

I filled out the form from hotels asking about how the check in went and then shared that the cable tc was not working. Within an hour a front desk clerk called the hotel room phone and asked if they can come over to fix it. They came over but was not able to fix it. I was told that it would be fixed in the morning and when I came back to the room later that night it was still not fixed. I called the manager five days after my stay and he worked out a discount for the inconvenience of not having a functioning tv. They were available to help but the tv issue needed more reminders. The carpet was dirty and restoom was dusty from cobwebs but the room gave my dog and I a safe place to stay and there was a neat garden right outside of our room and a seat to lounge outside.

Next time YWCA Vancouver

I'll definitely stay at the YWCA next time, it's a great downtown clean well managed hotel close to all the sites and sports venues. Plus the money they make goes to charity helping women in difficult circumstances .. a win win !!
Tony, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great for pets with grassy areas and paved walkways. Rooms are clean but could use some care, eg flaws in walls are painted over instead of being filled first and some peeling paint. Shower and bathroom very clean.
christine, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Kind and respectful staff.
Habib, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Mediocre

There was a pop spill left on the floor so it was very sticky to our shoes when we checked in. Would be nice to have screens on the windows so they could be opened without bugs getting in. Black hair left in the tu . Beds were comfortable. Not worth the $175 but not the worst stay.
stacey, 1-night trip

Cheap price but noises from outside and nearby rooms can be heard so it can be very hard to sleep. Not much to expect in their rooms just the typical ones. It’s clean though but don’t be surprised to see a sink w/o a strainer or windows difficult to close and handle busted, etc. Their staff is accomodating.

As a child we stayed in a similar property, over the years the motels on Kingsway have vanished and well, i wanted to experience the little contained apartments again. Thank you!

Its a great place to stay, a bit more run down than I would have liked, but it was clean and spacious.
