Upon arriving at the hotel, we found no one at the reception to check us in. After about five minutes, a staff member finally arrived, quickly processed our check-in, and assigned us a room. However, the room, labeled as a family room, was extremely small and outdated. While it appeared clean, it was difficult to be certain given the worn and aged furniture and fixtures.
On a positive note, breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection of options. After breakfast, we returned to our room, intending to check out by the noon deadline. However, at around 11:30 am, the cleaning staff knocked on our door, asking to clean the room, which forced us to rush packing and proceed to checkout.
On our journey home, about three hours later, we realized my daughter had left something in the room. We immediately called the hotel and were informed that the item would either be placed in lost property or sent to the laundry. I was told to call back the next morning to arrange for its retrieval.
When I called the next day, I spoke to a different staff member who assured me they would contact housekeeping and call me back, but that call never came. Two days later, I called again and was given the same response: the item was probably with the laundry, and I would receive a call back. This, too, never happened. After several more days and multiple follow-up calls, I was promised a call back from a manager, which, unsurprisingly, also did not occur. At this point, I've given up hope of reco
