    Poor management and uncourteous staff
On 5tth October at about 4 pm I found our room was not cleaned and there was no drinking water in the room. I called reception a number of times , none attended the call. Went down to request cleaning. The lady at the reception ( MS Aysha and Ms Sharmin) told me that the cleaning of their 200 plus rooms takes up to 9 pm & we are to wait. An hour later I requested couple of bottles Drinking water. the same ladies advised me to drink 'tap water' ! Uncourteous and arrogant staff in the reception. My reservation through you includes free bottled drinking water. It was not honoured by the hotel. Please investigate and respond. Room furnishing was old and of poor quality. Breakfast room was always crowded and was difficult to get food. I ordered for Omelet that never came. ,

    Fair 4.0
I dont usually do reviews but here goes....Room was very tired looking, in what looked like an old section of the hotel. The photographer did a very good job. Bathroom was particularly disappointing. The bath was what could only be described as a child's bath as it was more like a large, deep shower cubicle around about the size of half a bath. A good point was it had a pull out clothes line for drying underwear and had a device like a mobile phone that you could use to connect to the internet and make free phone calls over the internet to save roaming charges. The hotel was willing to move me the following day if i came to reception at 2pm the next day but as we had been messing around with rooms on our first day and was only staying a short time we decided to let it go. Very disappointing accomodation.

    Pleasant hotel
My husband and I stayed at Copthorne King for three nights whilst in Singapore. The deal I got was for room only with a balcony (door did not open). It didn't include breakfast, but that didn't worry me as I thought there would be places close by to eat or we could have breakfast at the hotel anyway. Firstly, the breakfast cost $29, which I thought was too expensive. Secondly, there are no places close by to eat. We were able to buy some cornflakes and milk and other essentials from the service station 2 doors down, so that was ok. The room itself was very comfortable, although pillows a bit hard. A twenty minute walk down the road brings you to a hawker centre selling excellent food at very cheap prices $2 - $5. Another 10 minutes walk brings you to Chinatown, which is foodie heaven in itself. Walking is flat, no hills, very easy going at night and quite safe. We walked down there each night for a bit of excercise. Overall, it's a nice hotel, nice pool, but pricey restaurant.

Worth it to see the egg cooking robot in action
Good looking hotel next to a busy road but easy walk to the river and Clarke Quay. Room was fine but I would say there is no point paying extra for a balcony because there are no seats there and you have to sign a form to accept responsibility. Having signed, the balcony door is then unlocked and it remains unlocked throughout, ie no security. Had an issue with room service, had to prompt reception staff late afternoon when our room had been missed. The jacuzzi which is advertised does not work although there is some lukewarm water in it. The pool was good and there are 5, yes 5, loungers around it for a hotel that can accommodate probably 1000 guests. Buffet breakfast was fine and Ausca the egg and omelette cooking robot is great, but overall our hotel experience was not up to what we normally expect for a 4 star rating.

    Poor 2.0
This hotel was by far the worst place that my wife and I had ever stayed. The room was extremely small, not cleaned well, and very outdated (90s). The lock had been damaged partially, and as such we did not feel secure. The towels were ripped. The carpet had stains and strange odor. The bedsheets also had yellow spots. The bed kept on making noises. The walls were very thin to a point where we could hear the conversations from our next door neighbors. I can’t believe hotel received the ratings that it did. The only good thing was the view from the hotel room and the breakfast was decent. The pictures on the internet were deceiving. I have stayed in various hotels for the past twenty some years. I have never written a review. This is my first time. This hotel was so bad that I felt compelled to write this memo so that others will stay away from this hotel.
