Great pre-cruise stay.
Lovely historic property, walkable to the port in Old Town San Juan. Honored my Platinum status with an enjoyable bottle of wine (our choice between white and red). Housekeeping gave us extra coffee for the coffee maker and there is a nice espresso machine in the lobby available in the morning and again in the afternoon. The hotel messaged us with important parking info, which didn't apply since we did not have a car, but would have been a great heads up if we'd rented one. Staff was unfailingly pleasant. Would stay again.

The best of Old San Juan
Everything wonderful about Old San Juan! Historic building beautifully kept up, has an amazing rooftop bar. We got to visit with the hotel owner who was friendly and kind. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit with the pullout bed in the couch. We had a private 1st floor courtyard sitting area, very special treat! Hotel is very private and quiet. Decor is very nice and room was pristine clean. Staff are friendly and accommodating, even helped us find parking close by. NOTE: NO PARKING at hotel.

The location of the Decanter was perfect and made walking around the old town incredibly easy. The team at the property was absolutely amazing! Loved each one. We had the wrap-around terrace with queen room and enjoyed it very much. It was very comfortable and clean. The Decanter is historic and charming and we would absolutely stay there again. One caution for those not familiar with San Juan’s historic area: it is a lively area with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. If you’re seeking a quiet place or wish to sleep really late, this may not be the location. It can be noisy late at night, and from our room we heard a lot of noise from outside in the morning. We didn’t mind and were usually up early for activities, but just a note for those who might be looking for something more quiet. Overall our experience was wonderful.
