Location, Location, Location!
I give this hotel an overall 5 stars for the price and location. The room is satisfactory and the beds are comfortable. The price is very reasonable and you cannot beat the location if you want to be in the French Quarter near Bourbon Street and steps away from transit. This is my second stay here and when I come next, I will stay here again.

Unfortunately our stay was on New Year’s Eve. God bless the victims and their families. This hotel service started awful. We had to park our vehicle 5 blocks away and walk to the hotel. The water in the room was cold. There was no towels. We made several attempts to contact the front desk by phone with no answer. We fiscally had to go to the front desk to ask for towels that finally made it to our room 1 hour later. We visit New Orleans 20 times a year this experience was awful.

Great stay!
Awesome location! Right next to Bourbon street. The only issue is parking to register is difficult, you have to park on the Canal street in front of the hotel, and most of the time you will be parked in the right lane of traffic. You will have to use the valet parking.

The room was pretty run down. Cracked tiles in the bathroom in the shower and the floor. The beds we agreed were not comfortable and the bedding was extremely thin. We didnt sleep well because we were cold. The faucet in the restroom sprayed all over when the water was running. At times there was a line for the elevator, which could be frustrating. If your room is on the Bourbon Street side, its rather loud. I would suggest bringing a white noise machine just in case. It really helped. There were street performers out there all day and well into the night. Sounded like a marching band, but with added drumming on 5 gallon buckets. While i felt safe in the hotel, there was shooting right outside the hotel as we were checking out. Not the fault of the hotel, but scary. Parking is not included and its valet only at $49 per day. Ridiculous! We had to park in a garage blocks away to maje it affordable. Due to the valet, there is chronic congestion at the entrance. The check in line was LONG at lost times of the day.

Hotel is old but convenient on the corner of Canal and Bourbon St. Walking distance to everywhere. Valet parking was a pain initially because hotel didn't give clear instructions. Overall stay was good because you are going out and not staying in such as a Spa. Valet pickup was a breeze. Recommend going nezt door to buy drinks like water because you can't get them from the hotel. Also one note restaurant and bar are not part of hotel but were great.

Nice hotel and great location.
Was in New Orleans for a college football bowl game. Got a really good price on Hotels.com. Location was downtown at Canal St. and Bourbon St. Paid for parking, so I didn't have to drive atound downtown. Had to wait 15 minutes before I could unload my luggage with the valet. Hotel was excellent and very clean. Room was nice but bed was a little too firm. Checkout went smoothly but had to wait about 20 minutes for valet to bring my car around. You can't call downstairs to have your car brought around. You have to visit the valet stand, then wait.

Close to everything!
We booked for Christmas vacation! It is an older hotel, beds seem to be smaller than a queen and bathroom was not cleaned good. Other than that for the price it was a great stay and close to everything. We would book here again. We never used our truck to go anywhere. We did learn this area is more for adults only so not much for our 14 yr old to do.
