Complete dump
The worst hotel experience of my life. When I got there the room was cold. The heater air conditioner was so loud I couldn’t hear the TV and it had to be on at all times because no matter how high I turned it up, it never got really warm and then in the middle of the night it will get super hot. I asked for a blanket because they hardly had any coverings on the bed. Starting around the second day I was there. I started hearing construction sounds. The loudest construction sounds. I’ve ever heard like Jackhammer into the ceiling below me they didn’t even bother figuring out which rooms had guests, and which rooms to work on, such a debacle.The last day I was there, the power went out in the building completely. I had no light no way to even gather my things to leave. I had to go to a different hotel and stay and come back in the morning when the power was back on to pack my things and get out. Standing out in the cold, waiting for a cab and going up and down six flights of stairs when I have asthma… an utter nightmare. I’m sure it was partially the reason I got influenza A and have been sick for days now! They gave me no refund for my “inconvenience” they even charge me for the last night that I didn’t even stay there! They said someone would call me. It has not happened yet, stay away from this dump. My lawyer will be letting them know what my inconvenience is worth!

Terrible hotel
The hotel is dirty and they ran out of hot water for a day, couldn’t shower. The only good thing about this place is the diner and location. The rooms are also so small you have to squeeze by to get to the bathroom.

DO NOT STAY AT LA QUINTA, STAMFORD, CT
I needed a place to stay while my bathroom was being remodeled. So, I originally made a reservation for 3 nights, and would probably make an additional reservation as Needed. The day I arrived it was freezing in the lobby, The front desk personnel was working under the worst condition. I registered, and once in my room I found that cold air was seeping through all around the heat/cold unit. And, air was coming in from under the door. I complained on day of arrival, and second day. The maintenance person showed up on the third day. But, in the interim I had inserted some restaurant menu flyers from the front desk around the heat unit. and, I asked for towels for the door. The washing machine in laundry room was not working, and I ended up having to wash a couple things by hand. The free breakfast included powdered eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits. And, the juice dispenser was artificial flavored orange, cranberry and apple juice. I requested a discount, but the manager declined. At this point I moved on to the next hotel, which was much better.

Nothing like other Wyndham properties
This hotel does not live up to what you should expect at a Wyndham. There are signs in the hotel indicating renovations are taking place but there is no evidence of ongoing work. Carpets are worn in hallways and rooms. One of the four ice machines in the hotel is broken. I tried to call down to the front desk for towels only to find my room had a house phone in it that was not only not plugged in-- but there was also no phone jack in the room. The motel advertises a pool and a fitness center- both of which I was prepared to use. The water in the pool was so cloudy I did not feel safe using it. The website (and signs in the hotel), states there is a fitness center. There is no fitness center. When I inquired, the front desk staff (who were very pleasant and apologetic) indicated new owners had started moving things around and the space previously used for the fitness center as well as the space previously used for the business center are now used for storage. They were unaware of any plans or timelines for renovation. The best part of this motel is that it is attached to the Stamford Diner-- which was a wonderful find.

Outside temperature was low 20’s Room was cold when I got there so I turned on the heat and went to bed around 12.15am. Woke around 2.30am because the room was freezing cold and got up to check the heater and found it was Dead, no lights or power to it and could not get it working so I had to get dressed and back into bed to get some more sleep as I was leaving again at 5am. Only reason for staying here was to get 4-5 hours sleep during my trip and because of the cold that did not happen and because it was so cold in the room I didn’t get to take a shower either.. I WANT A FULL REFUND

Dirty, run-down
Filthy carpet in the lobby, torn in several places. Elevator is up two mini-flights of steps, so luggage carts in the lobby are useless. Knobs missing from furniture, dirty bathroom, cracked seals in tub, shower head is at face level (under 6'). This review has a button to add photos but it doesn't work.

Hairs in the bedding
The bathtub in the first room was missing the drain plug and all grime and dirty hair in the trap was visible and the tub wouldn't hold water. We asked for a new room. In the second room, there were hairs in the bedding, as if the sheets had not been changed from the previous guests and there were brown stains in the tub (I am affraid to even ask what those were). We asked for another new room. The sink was missing a drain plug and had only one overhead light and was missing the three lamps that were in the other rooms. Ceiling paint is cracking and dropping. No changing room at the pool. Carpets are filthy. Staff was indifferent and management didn't care. The door handles in the stair wells did not work, a dangerous condition for emergency egress.
