Check in was easy they have a new self check in but staff readily available to help. The lady on reception was really helpful. Room was comfortable but extremely warm and at times uncomfortable to be in. there was a fan but it was tiny and was no use. The staff were so helpful and friendly even when we were having a drink they engaged in conversation interested in our stay and plans and helping us with the best places to visit.

6/10 Good

The hotel grounds and rooms are very neat and tidy but the rooms are bare and show signs of water intrusion, water collecting bucket in the corridor is a recent sign of ingress. The dinning room and breakfast was very pleasant with the usual good breakfast fare. They now run a self check in and out system which is very cold and unwelcoming as you don’t have the personal touch

It was a much better experience compared to the other hotel. Everything seem to be working. Lovely environment. Staff was polite and professional.

6/10 Good

No staff at check in as desk is no longer in use self check in in the bar area. They appear to have events most Fridays and Saturday evenings so some party sound until late but quiet during the night. A few loud guests banging on doors prior to midnight, but quite after midnight. It’s a different quieter atmosphere at breakfast with good availability of the usual breakfast fare.

Stayed in one of the suites with a 4 poster and it was lovely. It was in the older part of the hotel so it had great character. Bathroom was large and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good as well.
