Absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. If you are in town for just a few days, it is the perfect location to take in the sights and explore both Old Town and New Town. The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast offers a TON of food. This also feels like a great value -- you can stay in an elegant, historic building that is centrally located, and it's still a reasonable price!

This historic hotel was perfect for our visit. The property was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The onsite restaurant and bar were nice for a relaxing evening or nightcap. The location is convenient as it makes walking to nearby sites like local shops, restaurants, and the Edinburgh Castle very easy. Highly recommended and would stay there again.

A magic over night stay.
Our stay in the hotel was first class, all the staff are friendly, helpful and polite. The Concierge was particularly helpful in parking my car and delivering it back. In addition we had tickets for Kevin Quantum’s magic show, which was anazing.

Beautiful hotel
Honeymoon, christmas markets. From being greated at the door on arrival and concierge taking our bags to good bye staff and hotel was impeccable. Free upgrade on room due to honeymoon to an absolutely stunning view of Edinburgh castle. Lovely room and hotel had lunch and drinks in the court which was beautiful, service was again impeccable and food was delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel, and the court

Rooms very cold; inadequate heating and dated. Staff were excellent in terms of service and breakfast was superb. Pool area was also very good. No turndown service and no housekeeping after 5pm - very odd for a premium 5 star hotel.
