Quick family getaway
Quick trip to Maine to see the Gardens Aglow in Boothbay and this hotel was the perfect location. Only there for one night but very nicely decorated for the holiday. Loved the size of the room and the ambience of the drawing room and restaurant. Coffee, hot cocoa and breakfast available. Included continental breakfast offered a nice selection that fueled us for our day of shopping and viewing lobster pot/buoy trees and lighthouses. Walking distance to downtown although frigid temperatures had us driving instead. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful inn, close to downtown!
We loved our stay at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport. The staff were incredibly accommodating, professional and kind. We had breakfast one morning during our stay and had lunch on a different day. All the food was quite good. The lunch menu was slightly selective, but everything we ordered was absolutely tasty!
A family photo in the room adjacent to the lobby.
Lobster roll
Wonderful salad with grilled chicken.
Our lovely and festive drinks!

8/10 Very good

Good for location
Hotel is lovely but old and worn. It is clean and very close to town. Great for walking. Room and bathroom were small. Pool was inviting but freezing. It’s winter in Maine but they should have turned the heater on. The tavern which used to be great is closed and the restaurant was not good. Very expensive. Fish was over cooked and drinks were only half filled and not great. The tea time was fun and good little snacks. Hotel is under new management and I can tell it’s not a quaint or the quality as the last time I was here a few years ago.

Loved our stay!
Pristine condition, well appointed rooms and common space. Enjoyed the art work and decorations for the holiday. There must be a full time interior designer on staff

All was great, except the breakfast dinner room seating. This happens all the time and today it pussed me off after spending $400 for 1 night. The waitress seats 2,women at the crappiest table in the corner because they know (think) they won’t complain. Mikey save the nice tables for anyone with a man. Come on women!

6/10 Good

The Inn has slipped badly under the new owners. Dining is now only average while it formerly was excellent. Breakfast was once spectacular but now it is skimpy, surpassed even by Hampton Inn. I have been a frequent visitor for decades, but will not return. It no longer is an iconic NE inn.
