Barceló Carmen Granada Hotel

Barceló Carmen Granada Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Great Hotel with an Amazing Rooftop View! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We really enjoyed our stay at Barceló Carmen Granada. It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location, close to everything and very convenient for exploring Granada. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were both very comfortable, which was especially nice after a long day of sightseeing. And the breakfast was absolutely amazing! There was so much variety, and the food was delicious. We looked forward to breakfast every morning! One tip if you’re driving: definitely use the hotel’s valet parking service. It’s FREE! The staff will park your car for you and bring it back when you need it. The parking spaces are very small, so you’ll probably have a hard time parking yourself. Since the valet service is free, do yourself a favor and use it! But the real highlight of this hotel is the rooftop swimming pool. The view from up there over Granada’s old city is absolutely stunning. It’s such a beautiful place to relax, especially after spending the day walking around the city. The rooftop view alone makes this hotel worth considering. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again. Beautiful hotel, great location, comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, and an incredible rooftop view. Highly recommended!"

"Property was very nice. Cafeteria buffet for breakfast was good. Coffee was from instant machines and was terrible. Also disappointed that no bottled water was provided in the room. when I asked, the front desk told me the tap water in the room was fine. It was not, it was chlorinated. Tasted terrible. And getting ice delivered to the room was a €5 charge. Once you get past that, the overall experience is good."

"We chose the Granada Palace Hotel as it was in Monachil where we wanted to stay to visit family. On searching for a hotel this was the best one we found and was at a reasonable price. The hotel did not disappoint at all and was in a great location to visit family in Monachil and visit the sights of Granada. After being directed to our room we were amazed at how big it was, in all the trips we have been on (Carribbean/Thailand etc) this was one of the best rooms that we have stayed in, it was huge! We loved how big the bathroom was and all the space we had in the room to store our clothes and the little terrace where we could sit outside and take in the view of Monachil and the mountains. We were also given free bottles of water which was a lovely touch. We paid for breakfast and this was also lovely, a great choice of hot and cold food. On our last day we were leaving for the airport at 7am and we had a picnic made up for us to take. We also enjoyed a meal at the Italian restaurant next door and with it being our Anniversary they did their best to make it special for us with several free drinks. We sat by the pool area everyday, although the pool was a little too cold for me my husband braved it! It was nice to just sit on the sun loungers though. We also spent a couple of nights on the rooftop terrace, what an amazing view of Monachil! It really was a 5 star hotel and we loved every minute of our break, we will definately return!"

For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sites you intend to visit.
