Neat and tidy motel in a good spot. Older fit out but very good for the prices, plenty of free parking and free wifi.

The Lodge exceeded our expectation. The individual lodges were very well appointed and tucked away in the forest. When we arrived the staff were very helpful, as they were throughout our four day stay. The meals were varied and imaginative ... well done chef! Diwan is centrally located in the Daintree so the Lodge is a good spot from which to explore. We loved it.

Value: Not cheap but worth it ;

This place is fantastic if you love being close to nature and enjoy the sounds of wildlife while you are going to sleep and as soon as you wake. It's a perfect location for walking in Daintree and the staff and food are amazing. The night walk is great and allows you to see lots of wildlife that you wouldn't see if you were out on your own. You know how you're often disappointed after arriving at a venue that you've booked online? This is NOT one of those venues! What a spectacular location. Shantara Resort was everything we'd hoped for and more. Fantastic facilities, very clean and well cared for. All staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Nice and relaxing place to stay. Right in the middle of the main street. Easy access to everything. You don't need a car if staying here. Nice Pool area with a BBQ facilities. Second time we have stayed here. Will be back.

Apartment 23 (1 bedroom) was fabulous- very quiet.

Fabulous little glamping tents; clean, with air conditioning and very comfortable!

The room was comfortable and the hotel is close to the supermarket and not far from the centre of the town but still relatively quiet.

Stayed 3 nights in a twin room with king bed. Spacious, clean room with clean bathroom and good shower. Fantastic deck with rainforest views and a procession of wildlife. Room has a small fridge and tea-coffee making facilities but not much else for self-catering. On-site bar and restaurant available for breakfast (continental included), lunch and dinner. Beautiful setting, very peaceful and relaxing, food is unreal and great value.

We stayed three nights at Coconut Grove Apartments, in a balcony apartment with our own pool and spa. This accommodation is absolutely outstanding. With 5-10 minute walk to the Beach and many great restaurants in one direction. One of the best accommodations that I have stayed can't wait to return and stay again. The staff are very helpful - recommended some tours we loved. Location was perfect. Cant fault anything and would definitely stay again.

Excellent position right in town. Restaurants, pubs, supermarket, and the beach are all within a 5 minute walking distance radius. The managers were excellent, giving us advice on where to eat, as well as lending us some toys to keep our 18 month year old happy!

The Motel was really clean with recently updated modern rooms. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and the room was great value for money.

I stayed in a king hut with ensuite. The room was small but very comfortable, even had a small fridge. There was a shared kitchen and laundry on site. Location was great, there was an onsite cafe and tours, as well as a pub and shop across the road. A short walk from the beach and a lovely boardwalk. Property was very quiet and the hut felt very private, staff very helpful. Would stay here again if I am ever in the area.
