"The staff and the breakfast were amazing however the rooms have no shampoo (body wash is not going to do it for me), no lotion, no tissues and no phone. No phone makes it extremely difficult for overseas visitors to contact reception. Even the charming lady on reception who confirmed that these amenities were not offered in the hotel states that they were a budget hotel ‘but maybe not - we are quite expensive’. "

"The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."

"We enjoyed a very nice dinner in the bistro, after a relaxing spell in the sauna and pool. Just a one night stay but all good. Needs a bigger restaurant and additional coffee station at breakfast. Staff lovely."

"Quiet rural location in a converted country house. There are a variety of room choices, all include breakfast. The restaurant has some great choices for breakfast. Dinner menu is also good. There’s a cosy little bar in the hotel and other pub and dining options are a short drive away. I have stayed here around 10 times and it is my go-to choice in the area. "
