Super boutique hotel, in the old city
Super hotel, in great location in the old city. Highly recommend

    Very good 8.0
    Huge rooms. Luxurious. Friendly staff.
The hotel is new and the huge room (50sqm) was more than adequate for me and my family of four. Location-wise, it is at the edge of the old town so expect a 20min walk to the center - though the hotel provides free shuttles. The one thing that bugged me was the constant need to re-connect to the wifi as it automatically disconnects when you're not using your phone. Another was that the hotel refused to issue another room card when my wife lost hers on the second day. I couldn't really get the logic of why this was an issue. For a family of four to rely on one room card ended up quite inconvenient. Overall, the hotel was luxurious and the staff were all smiles. I enjoyed the breakfast too as you ordered a set from a menu instead of it being a buffet spread which causes excess food wastage. I'll probably opt for other hotels closer to the city in future visits but I do give credit to The Chiang Mai Old Town hotel for running a well oiled machine. They just need to fix the wifi to make it a perfect experience. One tip - given that the words 'Chiang Mai' and 'Old Town' are very ubiquitous, it's important you key in the exact name and double check the address when using GPS, maps, Grab/Uber. There are other establishments with these words in their name so it's easy for your map to pick up a wrong destination.

    Very good 8.0
    new old town
Well appointed small 4 star hotel, with all the amenities that I needed. Bedrooms are particularly good, loved the surcharge and Bluetooth music system, plus best bed I’ve slept in this year. Staff are friendly and try to please. Would have given 5 star, couple of small points, service at breakfast a bit lacking, rooms have no view. But overall really good experience.

    Very good 8.0
Good hotel, poor breakfast, expensive amenities.
Room was comfortable, bed was dreamy, and the service was impeccable, but the breakfast was lackluster. You chose from the same prefixed menu each day - no matter the option, it was flavorless and bland. We ended up going out for breakfast one of the days just to get away from the hotel’s breakfast. Also worth mentioning the “extras” are super expensive (spa package for one person was almost 2000 baht) and most available items in the room are not complimentary (50 baht for a small soda). Cappuccinos at breakfast were 65 baht each. Overall the room was nice, but for the price we paid, we could have found a better value for our money.

    Poor 2.0
    Good facility, worst service
Good facility but problems with water pipes I think. I booked a room with bathtub intentionally but the water came out was YELLOW! The staff was neither helpful nor friendly. So I gave up to talk with them about the water. I asked for late check out at 2 pm and it was confirmed in person. But when I came back at 1pm, my room was locked up and the front desk claimed they are not aware of my request. Even later found out it was their mistake, no apologies. The elevator was in maintenance, no one came to help carrying the luggage down. The way those staff treated us, seemed we lied about the late check out! While leaving also no one helped us loading the luggage into the car (I called the taxi by myself! The staff didn't offer or ask whether I need any transport) Of course they even not bother saying goodbye. The worst hotel service I have ever experienced. I traveled more than 150 days a year.
