Love St. John’s
If you are coming to St. John’s this is the place to stay. It is a large apartment within easy walking distance of everything downtown. George Street is less than 10 minutes walking as is the harbour and Signal Hill. The apartment is fully equipped with all the things you need. As another positive Kathie runs a dinner theatre under the name of Sprit of Newfoundland. If you stay at her place you get a deal on the tix and it is worth going . We had a great meal and the entertainment was fantastic. It it only about a 5 minute walk. So if you want to visit The Rock and engage with the fantastic people of Newfoundland this is the place to stay. You will not go wrong. Dean and Sue Tillsonburg, Ontario

Great location and a comfortable roomy apartment make for a good home base for exploring St John's
I booked 9 nights in the apartment, basically to just dig in and get to know all that St John's has to offer. It was really quite ideal; quiet, a good bed (important!), comfortable living room, and very close to all manner of food and drink options. Nice to have the in-suite laundry, particularly for an extended stay. One thing that could use a bit of attention is the kitchen. Many of the cupboard doors were loose in their hinges, and really should be adjusted and tightened up. The tap also needs some adjusting, to keep the water from seeping out from the loose or worn threads. But those are minor things in the big picture. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place, particularly if you're looking to spend more than just a night or two. It feels like home very quickly!

July 2019 Stay
- Location convenient, but needed to use our car to get around, although we are active, stores & restaurants not walkable for us. - with the Parking Card, we never had any trouble getting a parking space near the property - a lot of traffic during the day, but neighbourhood pleasant and quiet at night

Read this review! It's a great place!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Based on price, our expectations were mediocre. But we were incorrect. The property was roomier than expected, and was reflective of the neighbourhood in it's charm and setup. Kathie was a joy to deal with, and extended an invitation to the dinner theatre that she owns and manages. It did not disappoint and was probably one of the best musical theatres we've seen. The talent was exceptional. The meal was decent, and the venue was good. But again, the talent was exceptional! The bed was comfy, but not overly so. The linens were clean and well maintained. Towels, TP, paper towels, and tissues were plentiful. We've been at VRBO's before where there is half a roll and you are expected to buy the rest! Pots, pans, cutlery, plates, and all things required to feel at home were there. I am a bit of a coffee snob, and teh cuisinart coffee machine they provide is one of the better ones you can buy without going crazy. The toaster has seen better days, but then again, so has my own at home. Location, location, location. You can pretty well walk to almost any interesting point in St. John's, so could get away without a car rental. We had some distance to cover with family, so were very pleased to have a parking pass provided, as we had a car. There was enough space for 2 people to not be in each others faces after a few days, which is always nice. The bathroom was sufficient and had all the required amenities. The laundry availability was awesome. So, why a 4 on location? Well, read carefully here... this is downtown-ish. And any downtown is noisy. Is this noisier than most? No. But if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. My wife is from St. John's, and is a light sleeper, so she knew. Because she was well prepared, there was no issue! Slept well, and enjoyed our stay. But the intersection is a busy one. Restaurants galore. We recommend the Bagel Cafe (as recommended by Kathie) and went twice. India Gate is another nice one. And of course, Ches's Fish and Chips is a 20 minute walk away. You can walk to George street, and stumble uphill home! No cabs necessary unless you don't like hills. Thank you Kathie for a wonderful stay. Your help was invaluable, even to someone who's been here many times, and an old local. We will be back, and we will stay here again!

Perfect Downtown Location
We spent 3 nights in this bright, roomy one bedroom apartment located in an older building on the 2nd floor (no elevator) overlooking St. John's Harbour. The apartment is exactly as shown in vrbo and is within a 15 minute walk of a supermarket, LCB, The Rooms, and Water Street restaurants and shops. The apartment was well stocked with amenities and kitchen equipment and a washer/dryer. The owner offered us discounted tickets to one of her dinner/theatre performances which we thoroughly enjoyed. The owner provides a free street parking pass so that you can park your car in front of the apartment. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip to St. John's.

Great location and views
The property was just as it was advertised. It was centrally located, the parking pass was an added bonus and the roof top deck was a great place to enjoy views of the harbour. Highly recommended!!

Awesome location and apartment
Our first trip to St John’s Newfoundland; we were not disappointed in the least. Kathie is an absolutely fabulous host! We looooved the apartment; the locations could not have been better! Weather cold - but that was what we were looking for — including the snow ❄️ Definitely will be planning another trip back and Kathie’s place will be our first choice for accommodations. Very clean; well furnished, including kitchen. Lisa was also amazing ——. Very personal and accommodating!!!
