An uncomfortable stay to forget
The hotel did not honor the Hotels.com purchase. They provided a room; too small for my family, but it was late so we were forced to stay in it; hence, I had to sleep with my son in the "queen" bed that is nowhere near queen. Then while at our event in town, they checked us out, stating that we only had the room for one night. Finally, throughout the evening groups of men hang out in and out of their vehicles near the entrance; drinking, playing loud music and staring as we walked in and out of the facility. By morning time as we go to our car to leave, there are 24 empty bottles of Budweiser spread out around my vehicle. That happened each night of our stay. If you are looking for quite, the walls are paper thin. You can hear doors slam at night as far away as five rooms.

Fair 4.0
Bates Motel.
We arrived late afternoon. Had a room at the far end of the hall. Soon found out the internet service was intermittent, then the TV quit. The (very nice) young man came and checked, and we were moved to the next room over. All was well until the Guests from Hell showed up, next door and across the hall. Yelling, slamming doors, kids running around in the hall. At 10 pm we called the desk and asked for help. He called, but to no avail. After 11 my wife went next door and asked for quiet, but were told "they were going to do whatever they wanted." at Midnight I called the desk, either something happens or I call the police. We were told they had been moved. After almost an hour of loud voices and door slamming, things finally settled down. What a bunch of redneck trash. The young man was very nice and tried hard. We should have gotten a comp for the night.

Lice!
It was stop halfway to our destination as a family. The hotel was nice and staff friendly. However, the room was stuffy, beds difficult to adjust to, and the a/c couldn't regulate the temperature in the room overnight. Also, which is the main point in writing this review is my daughter contracted lice after staying here! We had 2 beds and she was the only one in the other bed and almost certain the bed was contaminated with them. After contacting the hotel a rather rude manager insinuated that their hotel was brand new and it didnt happen there. That's not how lice work! I knew speaking with them made no matter, I wanted to ensure they sterilized the room is all. I doubt anything was done. So enjoy the lice.

I wish I had stayed elsewhere, but you might like
Is's an easy hotel to find but can be confusing to get to. The hotel is easily visible from the highway and since it is brand new, it sports the revised LaQuinta logo. But... it can be confusing because there is an older La Quinta across the highway from this new one. MacFarland Blvd is a nightmare in the best of times and you will almost always have to make a u turn to get to the entrance of the hotel, which it shares with the Comfort Inn. I know the area and almost missed it. If you have allergies to feathers, you won't be happy. ALL (but one) pillow in the place are feather. I like very hard pillows and this wasn't exactly my cup of tea. My room had no tub. I think most of the rooms are shower only. Not my thing. The staff was friendly enough.

Exceptional 10.0
We loved the new property and rooms. Staff was very sweet and accommodating. Only problems with our stay, a little league baseball team was there our entire stay. They literally took over the entire hotel, lobby, gym and pool all day with little regards for others not with the teams staying in the hotel. They ran up and down the hallways, played in the elevators and the room above us kept us awake all evening while allowing their child to run around all night. Sadly parents were all either in the rooms or lounging in the lobby, not watching their children. Hotel staff was aggravated with the noise and inconsiderateness shown. We had to find things to do off the hotel property to enjoy our stay otherwise we would have enjoyed the amnesties but were not able to. Hotel staff, housekeeping and front desk was frustrated but very courteous and tried to make our stay comfortable.
