Goomeri gathering October 2024
I attended the HF Radio Club gathering at the Goomeri Showground in Qld. Most of our members have their own motorhomes, caravans, etc. but I recently sold mine so opted to stay at the Goomeri Motel. The new manager Malcolm was friendly and helpful, the rooms are self-contained and a couple of barbecues are available for patrons' use. The previous managers allowed the place to become very run-down so this problem is being addressed. Please note that there is NO bar or restaurant at the motel but the pub is literally two minutes' walk away; I didn't check about breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Country Motel
Lovely hosts who obviously have a lot of pride in their motel. Very clean and tidy, would highly recommend if travelling through the area. They offer home cooked meals or very short walk to hotel that has a bistro.
