The cottage was great and the overall property was green and eco friendly. However, the small 'garden' area at the back of the cottage facing the sea, needs attention and maintenance.

Frenchman’s is simply a beautiful property, and we will certainly be visiting again. The room needs a bit of TLC, but that pales in comparison to the atmosphere is offers.

We likedthat the villa was old style and nice. and the beach was walking distance. The floors were a little dirty but the rest of the amenities were nice and old school with new creature comforts like hot water and internet

Liked the vegetation. However, the facilities are horribly run down and not maintained. No restaurant on site, and had to pay for beach chairs that were in bad shape. Will not return nor recommend it.

This property could be a gold mine but it is extremelg outdated; the roads to get to some of the villa are not good. The staff didnt intrifuce themswlves and were not friendly on our first intwraction with us. Im glad it was only one night, becauss there will not be any more or reccomendations.

The place is beautiful but very old. The villa we stayed in was beautiful but bathrooms weren't the cleanest and there were alot of bugs. I believe for the price I paid the least there could have been is coffee in the room. You give a full kitchen with no plates, glasses or mugs. Kitchen is kind of pointless. I was quite disappointed with the experience considering it was quite expensive.

Facilities were shabby. No restaurant, no amenities, no wi-fi. no prior notification to bring your own water for drinking and access to the beach was denied as they closed the beach to their paying guests to accommodate a private affair. Very disappointing experience.

My stay at Frenchman cove was very unpleasant. I booked 2 villas for 3 nights., Whereas the grounds was very nice and well kept with the natural vegetation and flora … the villas were not well kept. Some of the furniture were so old.. the bathroom lighting was horrible. The Villa had a lot of cracks and spaces in the wood ceilings and windows. As a result, a lot of insects came in. The worst part of my stay however was getting up to rodent droppings all over the kitchen sink… microwave, fridge area and loud sounds of croaking lizards…. The management was kind enough to refund a nights stay but our experience was already damaged and we just could not enjoy even the last night. We Were very disappointed !!

The property looks as it it has not been renovated or upgraded in over 10 years, lights and fans did not work, sheets looked as if they have been on the bed for over a year and were hard and rough. The beds and seating area was not comfortable. The villa was away from everything and you would have a very long walk or you have to drive to get to the beach or the office. There was no one on the property after 5:30 to help. There was no working number to call and get to anyone in customer service. It was just terrible!!!

Die traumhafte Anlage stammt aus den 50er Jahren und ist in einem tropischen Garten gelegen. Der dazugehörige Strand ist der Traum! Leider gibt es kein Frühstück erst am Mittag die super Möglichkeit zum Lunch. Man sollte also etwas mitnehmen um es in der gut funktionierenden Küche selber zu bereiten zu können. Alles funktioniert sehr gut. Die quasi originale Inneneinrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber besser so, als es zu zerstören. Ich hoffe es bleibt so erhalten!!! Einfach fantastisch!

Decadence avec Elegance
O hotel está localizado num berço de natureza exuberante e preservada. É o único meio de acesso a uma das mais bonitas praias que visitei na Jamaica, a Frenchman's Cove. O hotel que já viveu seus dias de glória no passado - A rainha Elisabeth e os Beatles se hospedaram ali no milênio passado - hoje vive, o que aparenta ser, seus últimos dias/semanas/meses de funcionamento. Não há serviço algum disponível aos hóspedes, nem mesmo a arrumação dos quartos, em 3 dias de estadia ninguém apareceu nem pra dar uma varrida. O café da manhã prometido no momento da reserva pelo site da Hotels.com não existe na realidade. Nos fizeram assinar um termo no check-in que constava, lá no meio daquele monte de texto, que nenhum serviço de café da manhã seria disponibilizado. Foi horrível para nós, pois nas redondezas do hotel não havia comércio algum. A única coisa que funciona ali é a segurança no portão do hotel por 24 horas e uma lanchonete, localizada na praia, até as 17 horas . A recepção não funciona de 7 às 20 horas como indicado, mas por volta das 8:30 às 18 horas, mas depende do dia também. Os jardins e a praia são muito limpos e preservados, porém a estrutura do hotel em si está ruindo. É uma pena que a maioria das praias jamaicanas sejam privadas. O hotel Frenchman's cove, se continuar com essa péssima prestação de serviço e estrutura caindo aos pedaços, provavelmente será fechado e a praia não será mais acessível. Foi o hotel mais caro que ficamos ao redor da Jamaica, e o pior.

The beach was amazing but the property was very deserted. Maybe because of Covid. But there was nothing. No breakfast, no dinner. Only the Lunch at the small beach restaurant. I would recommend a daytrip to the Frenchman’s cove beach but not to stay at the resort.
