Our flight was delayed, our Uber cancelled twice, we ended up getting there 3 hours after last check in, but Gianluca & Matteo were there for us and saved the day by getting us safely to the guest house. This place is a unique gemstone. It’s an adventure to get to it, but you won’t have to do the driving, you will have the most memorable drive through ancient town built into the side of the mountain and the owners car will get a couple of more scratches but it’s all worth it. The view is the Best we have encountered in Italy and you will meet the owners pets and maybe will have the pleasure seeing their flying squirrel that lives on the fig tree. Amazing experience.

The host and staff are all very helpful and hospitable, especially with their shuttle car service, considering the property sits along a private and extremely narrow windy road that goes up the mountainside, which is inaccessible by bus or private taxi beyond a certain point.

We really enjoyed our stay at Essentia Guest House. Gianluca went above and beyond. Met us to shuttle us back and forth to the location, his dining options were excellent, and he even took us to the local train station. This is a quaint and charming experience with gorgeous views of lake como, and you really feel immersed into the culture. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place to disconnect and relax. Gianluca was an awesome host and picked me up at the bus stop (I didn’t rent a car). He also accommodated my vegetarian meal requests. Really beautiful view of Lake Como from the hills. There is a hot tub to relax in the evenings, very nice place, room had a fireplace as well. Superb experience, I read and relaxed and left energized for more adventures.
