Room was comforable and warm but we woke up to drilling and banging around 8am as the hotel had maintenence going on. Surely it would have made more sense to close that floor or not have rooms so close to the maintenence booked.

Classed as budget and that's what it is. Value for money but nothing fancy. Excellent continental breakfast though!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT CHECK-IN
Arrived at 2.30pm only to be told the official check-in time wasn’t until 3pm but if we wanted to pay £20 we could have our room straight away! We declined your ‘offer’ to pay £20 and sat in reception for 30 minutes until we were ‘allowed’ to get the key for the room we had booked. What kind of customer service is that? The room was available for occupancy so what did you hope to gain by not giving us the room just 30 minutes early? Shocking behaviour in my opinion, absolutely terrible and will definitely put us off booking with Ibis in the future. Next time we stay in Sheffield we will look for a different hotel. And, if that wasn’t bad enough, while we were sat in Reception waiting for 3pm to come around, someone came and checked in at 2.50pm! “Rules are Rules” absolutely despicable on behalf of your reception.

Review of stay 23/11
As the name suggests it is a basic room but very good for an overnight stay especially if visiting the arena.
No bar but bottles of beer / wine available until 23:00 - continental breakfast only. Basic size car park available with easy access.

A clean basic bed for the night
Easy to find off the A1. Clean and basic. Accept no coffee making in the room but can buy downstairs in reception.

Weekend stay
Two nights stop over, needing some place cheap. One of the cheapest rooms in Sheffield for a weekend so you get a small bed in a small room. Room was warm and clean although a bit dated. Shower is directly off the room, no separate changing area. Air con/heater was a bit noisy even when turned off. But for the price, saved over a hundred pounds compared to other budget chains, no real complaints.

Not as cheap as it looks at face value!!
Despite appearing cheap, once in the place you can’t even get a tea or coffee for free! Breakfast was an extra £17 and all that was on offer was cooked meats, cheese, fruit and some dry looking cakes, ended up paying another £17 somewhere else for an actual English breakfast and was refused a refund at the hotel for their pathetic excuse of a breakfast, and to top it off, was charged an extra £7 for the privilege of parking there. Could have stayed across the road for the same price and got better service and a better breakfast.

Very basic
Very basic, like a prison cell with a shower. You get what you pay for. It was a warm bed for a low cost.
