Good location just a very basic hotel and high cost because it’s in the park.

This is a clean and quiet location. The WiFi is terrible so expect to have no service.

Not recommended

Small room. Very bleak and mediocre for the price. I’ve had bigger showers in an RV. Worst thing is the lack of dining facilities. If you can’t get a reservation at the one restaurant, you’re stuck with tacos or whatever you can find at the mini mart.

Dated, dark, and very small room. For this condition, it's definitely not worth the money. The only positive side is it's inside the park near West Thumb Geyser.

We reserved 2 rooms. When I checked in, they gave me one room. Since we reserved a few months ago, I forgot I reserved 2 rooms and did not tell them. On the second day, I looked up my reservation on hotels.com and realized have 2 rooms paid for 2 nights. So we got the second room. Normally hotels should give us 2 rooms when we check in even thought I did not say anything.

I usually don't write reviews about the hotels we stay at, but I felt compelled to share my experience with this one. Our family of four paid over $400 for a one-night stay, and the room was so small it felt claustrophobic. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all in the lodge building, nor even in the registration area—which was in a separate building about a five-minute walk from our lodge. There was no microwave in the room, nor anywhere in this hotel per what we were told by hotel front desk. Additionally, the front desk staff were cold and unwelcoming during both check-in and check-out; not a single smile from anyone. Do not waste your money and enthusiasm, stay away from the grand village.

Will definitely be back!

It was a quick two night stay; part of a larger trip. After reading several bad reviews, I was a little concerned. I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms were very comfortable. Nice table with two chairs. Nice little counter/bar areas with a refrigerator. Comfortable beds and pillows. I read one review that mentioned the bathrooms being small and the showers tiny and plastic. Not the case. The bathroom was an average size and very clean/nice. A few other bad reviews complained about not having a television or wifi. This is true, but you’re in Yellowstone!! Enjoy the peace quiet and the company or your friends/family. The ice and vending machines are very conveniently located. Dining is limited, but not bad! We are at the fancy dining room one night and the lakeside restaurant the other night. Both were pretty good. You do have to make reservations at the fancy place. I think the only complaint I have is that the walls were thin. We were downstairs and our upstairs neighbor was very heavy footed.

Liked the proximity to Lake Yellowstone (it was beautiful!) and the quiet lodges. Dining Room and Lake House were nice options for breakfast and dinner (and Birthday celebration), the food selections were good and service was excellent.
