Well Worth The Trip
After a few hectic days in Kyoto we started to relax on the 2 1/2 hour train ride to Amino. The hotel shuttle picked us up as previously arranged.
The hotel has only 8 bedrooms, all with sea views. The staff are all very friendly and enthusiastic. The food is excellent; we had the Japanese meals but some western dish are available.

Great Hotel for Relaxation
This is a great hotel for relaxation. It is a bit out of the way though and if you plan to spend a lot of time sight seeing then be prepared to rent a car. A free shuttle service to and from the nearest train station (Amino) is provided though.
Oh, and if you're a vegetarian (my wife is) then the food choice will be difficult. They serve a great dinner and breakfast but 90+% of the options involve fish or meat. Still, they were very accommodating and prepared special dishes for my wife.

Fresh from the sea
Jukaitei is a warmly welcoming inn with beautiful views over the Sea of Japan.
The coast of the Tango Peninsula is quiet and stunning. It's best to have a car for touring.
The meals at Jukaitei are lovely and right from the sea--literally caught morning of. So fresh and delicious. The room has a wonderful hinoki Japanese tub overlooking the sea for bathing. We thoroughly enjoyed Jukaitei.
We recommend it highly.
