Misleading Room Description and lousy staff training.
I had never been more disappointed and upset in my hotel booking and felt compelled to share with everyone how bad this experience had been for us.
In sum,
1. I had booked 2 x Twin Rooms and “1 x Twin Room from
Triple” (yeh, that’s the exact description listed in Expedia). It was cleared listed that the “Twin Room from Triple” has an additional sofa bed, compared to the Twin Room.
2. One would assume this is why it costs more than a Twin Room. I also indicated I am booking this “Twin Room from Triple” for only 2 travelers. I had wanted this additional sofa bed for more luggage space.
3. Upon checking in, all 3 rooms were exactly the same! According to the hotel, there isn’t room type listed “Twin room from triple” so it baffles me why did I have to pay ¥6000 for a twin roomn meant only 2 travelers.
Neither the hotel nor Expedia could give me an answer!
4. My best advice moving forward-blacklist! The hotel staff wasn’t at all willing to do any service recovery and neither could Expedia customer service explain to me why I had to pay more for a room that is wrongly listed.
Upon checking out, even though I have already pre-paid all our rooms, a male staff insisted that I can’t drop my room card into the self check-out box even though the rest of the guests did. If it is not pure discrimination, I don’t know what is.
