Cosy and comfortable stay
Overall a good choice as good value for four of us staying in the same room. Spacious with comfortable beds and generous tea and coffee. Lots of hot water and a cosy temperature. Very friendly service. The location is perfect for the beach and some lovely shots and restaurants nearby. Some quirky parts too, as the double four poster bed had such a thick mattress that climbing onto it was anything but gracious and the glass bathroom door wasn't popular with my teenagers, however we coped with that. Only a couple of minor niggles, in that the room was on the top floor with no lift which left us all gasping for breath by the end, and the bunk beds were so squeaky with each movement that it did wake us up through the night. We would stay here again though.

Stay away.
Located in a nice area, but that’s about all the good thing about this hotel, needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom, room very small, bathroom that small you can just about turn around, would not recommend staying here.

Excellent location
The hotel is in a wonderful location - right by the sea front and 10 minutes walk from the pier. You cannot fault that aspect. However, the room was smaller than expected and the bathroom practically non-existent. The bathroom door was also a front door with a stain glass section at the top so when anyone went to the toilet at night, the florescent light shone right into the bedroom and woke everyone up. The toilet seat was broken and the bath a miniature version of an adult. The hotel staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful which made up for the disappointment with the room.

Highly recommended, great hotel and staff
It was truly wonderful staying at Brunswick Square Hotel. Trine was friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast she made for us the next day was delicious. Location was great, convenient, quiet. We had restful sleeps. I would recommend others to stay here when visiting Brighton.

Typically Brighton
A nice square with views to the sea and close to bars shops restaurants and local amenities. The only downside is parking, you are very lucky to find a permit only spot and therefore it is a long walk to and from an ncp. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the hotel had a regency charm. The room layout could have been better and a towel rail with a toiletries shelf would benefit the tired suite but this is Brighton.

Mixed but I get why couples might like it
A mixed stay for various reasons - we had a family room - the kids had a great time with bunk beds, the view etc - from a parenting perspective, a family room on the top floor was tiring given no lift as there are frequent trips up and down stairs. So lets look at positives - the staff and service are brilliant, as is the continental breakfast, the location is great too. The negatives, the wall shower fitting broke on first use, the window blew open in the storm, the beds are rickety, there is no lift, there is no fridge in the room. I will say a big thank you to the hotel team for giving us free breakfast when they saw the problems we had with the window. On the whole this felt like a hotel I might go back to you as a couple but sadly, for family trips, I think this particular room didnt work for us.
