Good location, rooms clean, more face masks

Excellent sea front location, bedroom and bathroom small but clean, comfortable bed and duvet. Very friendly greeting from staff every morning at breakfast. Ample alcohol gel and surface wipes provided in communal spaces. Pillows like cotton wool pancakes though, changing rooms and shower area of swimming pool/spa very neglected and unclean, very disappointing to see so few staff and guests still wearing face masks when serving and mingling in such close proximity.

For the price that was paid for two nights it was quite disappointing. The room itself was clean but the double bed was small the room was large but dark and sparce

    Overall good stay

Overall a good stay couple of minor issues. Pillows were not great, after first night I spoke to receptionist who said they would sort something, unfortunately not sorted. Being a lone traveller I ate breakfast alone and twice my table was cleared while I got coffee. Room was clean and reasonable size for a single

    Good location. Poor quality.

Dated hotel. Family room was a decent size, but views were awful. Decor was dated and not great condition. Bathroom particularly poor condition and radiators not working, so no clothes or towels dried the entire stay. Really disappointed that pool was only available for 45mins a day, if you were able to get a time slot. I’d probably go for another hotel next time and sacrifice having a pool.

Great stay, yet extremely disappointed that swimming pool was closed. This is the fourth trip to the hotel where we have been unable to use the pool for various reasons. I will not be paying a premium to use this hotel again for this reason alone.

    Always believe the reviews...

Despite the Hilton Brighton Metropole being a 7/10 and a 4 star hotel it was anything but those. I'm not usually the type to write a review nor complain however, when you're paying for a 4 star hotel on Brighton Pier you expect to receive the product that is advertised. Even upon check-in our issues began by the hotel team claiming that we had only booked 1 day stay and through Expedia, despite us booking through Hotels.com and staying for 4 nights. We were told we would have to move rooms after one night due to this issue. Obviously this is incredibly inconvenient due to packing but also not Covid safe. After this issue, we got to our room which had even more problems follow. It was far too hot in the rooms, no A/C only a fan offering only a small radius of cool air. The lights didn't work... And the cherry on the cake there were lots of flies on the inside of the window in our room? Now in terms of their 'facilities' they were mostly not in use. Swimming pool was not available when I asked and additionally the 'smart' TV has disabled the HDMI skit so if you wanted to use an external device you can't. To my final point which is arguably the worst, under new Covid protocols cleaners have been instructed to not go into peoples rooms unless specifically requested. However they ignore this, even if you put your sign up saying not to. I complained to the staff and they didn't seem bothered in the slightest. If you have an anniversary to celebrate, don't do it here.

    Ok for one night.

The hotel was clean. But it really needs updating. The room has cracked walls and ceiling. Windows were murky. Rust around the radiator. The bathroom sink was chipped at the bottom. Bath was clean but old. For the price of one room one night I would have expected cheaper breakfast options and at least a little toothpaste in the bathroom. It felt like it was missing certain little touches & needs some love and updating. The sofa bed was uncomfortable for my children. However my bed was comfortable, room size was large & airy, sheets were nice and clean. Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location was excellent.

    Average and Overpriced

We stayed here quite a few years ago and it was excellent, sadly, it's gone downhill considerably since our last stay! Room was large enough for x4 of us, view was awful but it was other things like certain lights and plug sockets not working, a bin bag had been placed on the bin but not in it, nobody changed our room and when we requested a change in the morning we got back to the room to find it hadn't been done!!! We phoned reception and they promised to send up new towels and toilet paper but we even had to chase that after 45mins of waiting!! Such a shame, definitely won't be rushing back at over £160 a night without even any breakfast!!
