The room was very minimal, cold and lacking any ambience. No photos on the wall old chair in the corner and that is all there was to sit on. The chairs on the deck were dirty and uncomfortable. For the price a total disappointment. Only plus was location and the bed was comfortable. I would not recommend this for a Laguna Beach stay.

The Mara is such a gem. Ocean view from the balcony. Very relaxing. Had beach chairs and pastries in the lobby (might have been for the holiday) The staff was so kind and friendly. I had to work on the 4th and they offered to ensure I had a parking spot when I got back late evening. I would highly recommend

The staff were very personal and accommodating. Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning crew were so incredibly nice! My 78 year old father accidentally left his phone a block away at a coffee shop and one of the guys at the front ran to the shop to retrieve his phone so he wouldn't have to walk back. That was so thoughtful and appreciated. I definitely recommend this establishment.

My pet Vito was welcomed and that’s so important to us since we travel with him all the time. The staff was friendly. Rooms were roomie and clean. The pool and spa were well maintained. Clean towels were always available to us. We enjoyed the balcony and breeze that came in through back door. Agate beach was literally just across the street. So many wonderful restaurants and shops. We can’t wait to come back again!

We had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our entire visit. They consistently checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, which made us feel very welcomed and well taken care of. The heated pool was a huge plus—it was always clean and enjoyable. We also loved spending time on the terrace, especially in the mornings and during sunset when the views were beautiful and relaxing. The location was very convenient and made it easy to get around and enjoy the area. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations thanks to the excellent service, cleanliness, and great amenities. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
