Lovely B&B close to the water. Good sized room and bathroom with shower. Delicious full breakfast. Very friendly hosts, Paul and Lee, who gave advice on where to eat within walking distance and where to visit in the area. They intend to update the property, but we found it to be very satisfactory as it is. Plenty of street parking.

We really loved our stay at Bowes Incline. It sets a very high standard in all areas from staff friendliness, to the quality of finish in the rooms, their cleanliness and the quality of their food. We only wish that all of our stays were this good!
The great experience started with the young lady on reception who was really friendly and helpful, and who doesn't love that liltting Geordie accent!
The rooms have been well designed and simply styled with neutral colours.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in North Shields
Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit North Shields is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices may drop. For those looking to explore the town's rich history and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This allows ample time to enjoy attractions such as the scenic beach, the marina, and the historic ruins, along with the charming small-town atmosphere and the local bar. North Shields offers great value for money with its friendly people and captivating sites, making it an ideal destination for travellers on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for accommodation in North Shields, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you won't miss any chances to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities effectively. This way, you’re more likely to receive notifications if rooms become available or prices drop, making it easier to secure the best hotel deal for your last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in North Shields. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and, at times, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll recommend alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to potentially secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying closer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For those seeking more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which can offer a more authentic experience and are usually more likely to be budget-friendly.
