Ok for one night
There is nothing unacceptable about this hotel, especially given the price, and the location is perfect, but it is generally quite tired and some room face a street with loud trams passing by. Service could be improved , e.g. we had requested a QUIET room no matter what size, and we were “upgraded” to a large suite but in the noisiest position possible...

Kosice City stay
Hotel in good location in the city centre. It is only just over a 10 minute walk to the railway and bus station if you want to go further afield. Local bus and tram stop within 2 minute walk of hotel. A continental breakfast is included. Hotel provided us with a break box each as we were checking out of the hotel at 4.30am. Only downside, people are still allowed to smoke in the hotel and rooms.

The hotel is well placed in the centre of Kosice. Shopping, Restaurants, banks and public transport are all within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Staff very helpful, with most being able to speak English to some degree. We were leaving hotel at 4.30 am and were provided with a large packed breakfast as we left. Only downside, smoking is still allowed in public areas and the bar of the hotel.

Well located but dated hotel
The hotel is starting to look rather dated but it was comfortable and the staff, unlike other reviews for this hotel, were not rude and disinterested. I found the breakfast selection to be very good. So overall, slightly expensive for what it was but not bad.

Top quality hotel in a top quality City
The hotel staff were friendly and could speak excellant English which was useful as my Slovakian is not very good particularly when arranging for some laundary to be done. The atmosphere felt 'traditional'. The room was big and although there is no air con the window could be opened fully and a large fan was provided so even in the high temperatures and humidity sleeping was no problem. A decent breakfast was provided and the bar was pleasant with reasonably priced drinks. The cost was very reasonable as well and hence I would say the hotel is great value for money.

Average towards good
Large rooms, so our little puppy had plenty of space to run around :) The beds were comfortable, the service acceptable. Breakfast as usually in this part of Europe, heavy with meets and short on veggies, but good. Overall a satisfactory stay. The main negative point was the phone call from the reception that I got at 7 in the morning telling me that I had parked my car in a place that was reserved for "someone special" - the previous night the receptionist had said it was fine where I had parked it, in front of the hotel as it was their parking; so I had to get out of bed an move the car or else it would have been towed away.

A Great Place To Stay
The Gloria Palac is an excellent hotel with suoerb facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will do all that they can to accommodate your requests so as to make your stay even better. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel as a place to saty and use as a base to explore Kosice. I hope very much to stay here again soon.

Gloria Palac Hotel in Kosice, Slovakia
This hotel is conveniently placed near the railway station. Take any tram from the station for 1 stop to Senny'trh, when you alight, walk forward to the 2nd block and hotel is on the corner. All staff were welcoming and spoke very good english. The buffet breakfast was very good, and more than ample. Around the corner is a Saris pub and restaurant which is open until 2400 hrs most nights.

Gute Lage.
Sehr nahe der Altstadt, Zimmer abgewohnt, aber sehr sauber. Das Frühstück wurde serviert, war lauwarm und fett. Deswegen würde ich das Hotel nicht mehr buchen! In der Parkgarage war kein Platz mehr. So nutzten wir die öffentlichen, kostenpflichtigen Parkplätze vor dem Hotel.
