The location of the property is great. Right on the beach, beautiful sunset views as you dine on their outdoor patio. The food is excellent, wonderful chef. The staff in general was wonderful. The property itself is in need of a major renovation. The units are old, plumbing working only partly. Ocean pool is closed and unusable. Gardens however are beautiful.

Great for a really relaxing break. Comfy bed, usually a hot shower, restaurant overlooking the water so you can watch passing whales, snorkelling in safe area, friendly staff. Would go back again.

Location great, whales cruising by, friendly staff, very much in Island time; but, looked like little maintenance had been done in years and food selection, although tasty, was limited (50% of options on menu).

The resort is right by the ocean - you can't really call it a beach as such. We saw whales and swordfish a number of times swimming close to the shore which was a real highlight. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly the office staff. One afternoon my partner lost his phone at a beach we'd walked to - one staff member lent us her car to go back and have a look and we found them! The property is a bit tired - it does need a makeover. Showers run hot and cold and the water is sometimes off. Some bathrooms in the units smell a little and the food is very average. One Fijian staff member consistently provided great service, but customer service is something that some of the other restaurant staff still need to acquire.

Tonga, the land of gentle giants.

Excellent location. The cabins are clean with a good view. The dining area extends to the water and is a real delight. We always had a very long breakfast. The staff were wonderful and treated us like part of their family. The people are the real attraction of Tonga. Don't miss the Wednesday or Friday dinner and cultural show, but I recommend ear plugs to moderate the volume.

Rooms could do with a fresh paint and some of the curtains can be replaced, no tv and no WiFi in rooms. Apart from that it was excellent staff really great, food is great. And the entertainment was really excellent...... 🙂

We arrived after the office was closed for the day, but our rooms were open. We had been advised that the tap water was not drinkable and had to be boiled before use. But we had no electric jug, so had no way of having a drink. Additionally, the frig did not work and the shower did not drain properly. This was all fixed the next day by the excellent staff. There was an opportunist petty thief amongst the staff. A souvenir metal drinking bottle and a small thermos were stolen. Fortunately nothing of real value was taken, but this left an unpleasant feeling. The resort is run down. General maintenance is below par. The gardens in front of our chalet were unkempt and the swimming pools had debris and rubbish within them whilst the filter to the sea was non-existent so that these pools could only be used at high tide. On the positive side, the staff were very attentive and always available if needed.

The structure is 30 minutes by taxi outside the city and is poorly connected. Very limited hospitality to the reception staff except for Bar staff who are very friendly. The beach is a word only on the resort sign but in reality there is no beach but access to the sea. The structure externally is very pretty but in reality the inside of the bungalows is poorly maintained, poor hygiene and cleanliness with showers not always working. After an hour of rain the bungalows were totally flooded. On Sundays the structure is almost completely abandoned except for the Bar and kitchen. The only point to make is the FANTASTIC food and the Bar staff.Thank you for this guys.

Although the staff were friendly and helpful there are a few things I would of liked to know prior to staying. This was that on Sunday, there is no one at all at the resort. This means you can not even get a drink until after 6pm. With everything shut it would of been nice to relax at the resort with a drink at least to pass the time. The cultural experience was amazing and overall not a bad stay. We did have to shower in another room though as ours was not working but staff fixed this when we told them. The resort is 40 minutes from town so also something to take into account. Be careful when booking transfers through the hotel as we asked to be picked up at 3.30am to get to the airport at 4.30am for our 6.15am flight. Our driver didn’t turn up until 4.20am and said it was because our flight was cancelled. Our flight has merely been delayed. Food was delicious although staff who were serving often not interested. The resort overall was fine to stay at but I think it could do with a bit more of a customer focus and look at ways it can improve the experience especially on such a quiet island.
