We had a lovely stay at Coundon Lodge. The owner was very welcoming and showed us all the amenities. The room was beautiful and comfortable. We had lovely views of the country side. It was very quiet.

Quiet, quirky country house
This was a good choice for an overnight stay at a very reasonable price. The room was cosy, comfortable and quiet. I had a great night's sleep. The self-service breakfast had everything you need (and more!). The only downside is the shared bathroom but for me the chance to stay in a quirky historic house makes up for it. I'm sure I'll be back again.

Just the job
We were very warmly welcomed. The room had a great view and was fine. Great to have the tress and coffee in the room, and lively clean, cotton sheets. Just a suggestion....a chair and a towel rail in the room would be very helpful. (We hung our wet towels over the wardrobe door and clothes over the tv.) The breakfast was amazing!! Thank you.

Perfect !
Made to feel very welcome straight away- almost a home from home - beautiful house with loads of character and some very interesting history- absolutely beautiful grounds -our apartment was perfect-extremely comfortable bed- very spacious but also cosy- the owner went above and beyond to make us comfortable and warm - the only downside was we only stayed 1 night ! Really wish we could have stayed longer and would love to visit again to see the family continue to renovate this beautiful home- Thank you so much x
